Location is great!!! Had to contact customer service & they were prompt and helpful. The room itself was spacious, and decent. I feel it could use a deep clean & some minor touchups. Overall was a good stay.

There was no furniture on the deck, would have been nice! The door keeper was missing. It was just wood nothing to really secure your door. We were told the day before there was a fire inspection and there was going to be someone coming at 9am . Not convenient while on vacation.It was never disclosed when looking at the property that this was on their schedule. There was major construction going on that wasn’t disclosed. It wasn’t an issue, but should be mentioned.

Very loud active construction site
Firstly, the customer service staff were very understanding and did their best to help. 1) Unable to share key via app. After multiple resets and redownloading the app multiple times we received a code for back up keys. This was fine, but time consuming. 2) The extent of construction on this building should not be undersold. They are removing the entire facade of the building and replacing it (or so it looks). There is full scaffolding surrounding it and cranes where they are dismantling the outside of the building and replacing. The noise level made the apartment we were in uninhabitable. The hammering to remove the outside and nail guns with replacing it combined with the ground crew shouting up to the crane workers was so loud they could have been inside the apartment. We were finally able to move apartments. 3) Unfortunately, after the move we were located in a room with air conditioning that did not work. The team were able to come and replace the batteries and restart the thermostat. We were compensated with a Uber gift card from Locale which was a nice gesture, but a fraction of the cost of the apartment for 5 nights.

Overall we enjoyed our stay at Locale, easy parking and close by to many popular restaurants. However we did not like the shower, it would puddle up and didn’t seem clean. We would shower with our crocs on to avoid touching floor. The balcony was closed off and didn’t have access the whole trip, was not stated before. The refrigerator and freezer did not work properly so wasted food thinking it worked. It was warmer than the temperature was set at. Other than that it had a whole kitchen and access to television. Grocery store was in walking distance with many healthy options. Not too loud at night either compared to broadway. Parking is a daily rate.

Locale at The Gulch
Lack of transparency. Not a hotel, no front desk to check in. Everything is done through your phone. It had more of a short term rental vibe. Have to download an app for the room key. Elevator was not working for a period of our stay. Got to pay $40.00 pluss taxes & fees per day to park. The best thing was the location.

Great location to walk around! Place was neat but the balcony was facing the lovely railroad tracks so that was not as nice. Really did not hear the train but once at night and it wasn’t too loud. So, if you’re a light sleeper, this apartment may not be the place for you. Have to say when we mentioned anything needing to be fixed, property mgmt was on it right away! One thing I’d recommend is the mattress being more substantial. Both of us (couples) noted the mattress was not that great I.e., with couples if one got on the bed, the other side moved; the support of the mattress is not good).

Great place ti stay!!!!
Locale is a great place to stay! The Gulch is such a great section with good restaurants and an amazing Sundae Bar!!! 15 minute easy walk to downtown ! Great room to stay in! My only complaint would be the shower floor was peeling , that could use a little help! Other than that , it’s an amazing place to stay ! Would definitely stay there again !
