Beautiful property in a central spot, walking distance to everything, the staff were also lovely and helpful. However the rooms were not sound proof and we could clearly hear multiple noises in the rooms next door to us.

Great Hotel in a fabulous spot walking distance to the tram stations and train station and in the middle of just about everything.The breakfast was very good with lots to choose from .

Whenever I stay in the CBD I alway choose the Rendezvous and alway have been happy, this time I was pretty disappointed, the room was as it normally was, small but perfect fora single person, but the bathroom, the bathroom was disgusting. The shower looked liked it “might” have been wiped out, I say might and there long hair all over the bath and shower head, the bin was full with dirty tissues and when I say say full, I mean FULL, you could not get another thing in it. The basin and bench area quite clearly hadn’t been cleaned as there was water and stains (looked like toothpaste) all over it and the mirror was dirty. I requested at the front desk if the bin could be emptied and this was done before I returned from dinner. Overall the standards are slipping, might have to look for a new hotel next time.

It is a lovely grand old building in great condition. My rating, unfortunately, is in reflection of the staff and cleanliness of my room. My first room's shower-over-the-bath set up obviously had not been cleaned properly, with the kind of hair that you don't want to see left in the bottom of the bath. This room's air conditioner was terribly noisy, after requesting, I was relocated to another room. Unfortunately, this room's toilet had used and not flushed prior to my arrival. The staff made you feel like you were a burden, and the manager was quite rude when I called and requested clarification around charges as only a single receipt was provided on check-out with dual charges made to my card.

Central, comfortable and charming
Very pleasant. A standout is Kevin, who greeted us at the checkin desk. Such a friendly, welcoming and professional host. Charming interiors, a mix of a bygone era and modern touches. The one retraction is there was some mild noise from the trains passing by, nothing overly bothersome.

The staff in the hotel was great, very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Hotel rooms are of a great size with new furniture and decoration. We booked with a VIP membership of Expedia and got all extras with it. Would definitely recommend the hotel and stay again.
