Terrible unprofessional reception staff
The moment I checked in I had nothing but problems specially with the room and staff behaviour. Nothing was explained during check in. Had a reservation for 2 nights for 4 guests (1 aduly and 3 children) which I had to pay at hotel. I was checked in by a woman called Dema who only charged me for one night without telling me so the following day my room card stopped working which took me over 30mins to get sorted, terrible rude and unprofessional behaviour from Fatemah and Dema at reception who were blatantly talking about me to my face, laughing in Arabic as she knew I couldn’t understand. A complaint was lodged with the hotel manager. We also had our room changed 3 times due ro various problems, from shower leaking and flooding the bathroom to not enough beds as per my booking. Breakfast was ok. I would not recommend this hotel due to the terrible reception staff, the behaviour really ruined our umrah experience and we couldn’t wait to leave. Get a hotel closer to the haram esp after completing umrah as we had to get a taxi back to the hotel which took 45mins due to the gridlocked traffic. They don’t have a shuttle or buggy to the haram like other hotels so it’s not worth the price to stay here. I will never stay here again.

Needed to pay for extra beds.
I booked 4 adults and 2 children age 9 and 16. According to hotel.com they are children. However, on check in. They informed me that children are considered as infants who require cots, not beds. So I had a surprise of paying over £300 for 2 extra beds. Very disappointed with hotel.com for this oversight.

It was a great alternative to the clock tower hotels. Super close. About 5 min walk to Haram gate 74 once you are out of the building. Breakfast was great. Less crowded than our usual stay in the hotels at the clock tower. Great value for money. Annoying was the key cards would quit working every so often (we didn’t keep it close to movie or other demagnetizing technology). But it was manageable.

The hotel is walking distance from the Haram they have signs in the hotel and guide you on how to reach the Haram and was really easy and accessible. The hotel has lots of elevators so I wasn't waiting for long periods of time. I thought the customers service could have been better. I purchased the package that had breakfast included however my flight was leaving early the next day and I wouldn't be able to make it for breakfast. During check in, at the reception I was told I could get packs arranged and it's no problem. I ended up having to talk to 10 different people just to get a final answer and they said they couldn't accommodate when I was told they could. Overall location is good and the hotel was comfortable but the customer service could have been better. Other hotels are able to accommodate these requests especially with the amount of money they charge. Another thing to take into account is the hotel doesn't have a mall or food court so if you get hungry you'll have to leave the hotel and find food elsewhere which can be tiring.
