Terrible place to stay.

The area where the hotel is, is absolutely terrible and it doesn’t feel safe at all. My teenage daughter woke up to go to the bathroom at night and she suddenly shouted. I woke up and asked what happened, she sent me to have a look and I found cockroaches on the wall by the mirror. It was disgusting. On another occasion, the alarm went off so I made my way down via the stairs from the 6th floor on my to find no one at reception. I just found the whole place unprofessional and unsafe. To support what I am saying, I wrote to the management of the hotel upon my return to London and of course as yet no answer over three months.

We stayed here to splurge on activities and food, but it was simply not worth it. We almost canceled and booked another hotel on night 1 but it was non refundable. Very hot — very hot. No AC or it doesn’t work. Very dirty. I didn’t allow myself to walk barefoot around. Stains on the bed frame. Mold in the shower. It’s far from everything. Overall bad experience

Be careful when you go

We travelled for the RWC and check in time was 1500. We turned up and the rooms weren't ready and the receptionist had to personally go and check each room individually. It took nearly 30 mins to check in and there were c.20 people waiting behind us. They were simply not ready for a large number of people turning up. Rooms were basic but clean and there was little noise outside of the hotel and with a metro station outside location was good

The reviews are pretty fair. For the price it’s not glamorous but it’s well located (30m from the Subway) and does the job. Check in took longer than it should have.

Une chambre de base, très bien située à moins de 100m de la station de métro National. Petit quartier populaire et pas grand chose à faire autour mais le métro est tout près. J'ai bien aimé le restaurant chez Sylvie, un resto corse. Les draps propres mais manque un peu de finition comme les rideaux sont sales dans ma chambre et cuisine de base pas grand chose pour cuisiner. Plus un hôtel de travailleurs.

It was a nice stay, the hotel is nice and right in front of the metro station. The area around is not very nice, but you can just use the metro to move around.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Their were no rooms available to stay longer either there or in nearby hotels. They gave me the numner of another Montempo hotel. I was anle to book a room there for a month.

No secure parking available so we had to park in the sketchy neighbourhood on New Year’s Eve, but everything was fine. We had to pay a deposit of £43. The apartment was adequate but lacked coffee mugs. Good location near a Metro station.

Ideal for a short stay

It was ideally located near to the metro station; staff at the check-in was helpful; room was clean, and comfortable, especially the bed; a bit noisy as there were some building works at the adjacent building.
