I have stayed at several riads in Morocco and Layla Rouge is my favorite. The owners have found a fabulous manager in Zakaria who welcomes everyone with a smile and will help you with any need...even making sure you have a pleasant breakfast prepared by him. Thank you, Zakaria, and housekeeping, for making Layla Rouge such a great experience. It is located close to Jemma El Fna and the Kotoubia Mosque but in a part of the medina that is very quiet at night. I highly recommend and will be returning in a few weeks for a 2nd stay.
I stayed in one of Riad Layla Rouge’s private rooms and found it to be basic, plenty of room and quite comfortable. The staff was excellent in their help and they made my stay most pleasant, which included a wonderful group dinner on their terrace. I would recommend this Raid as your first choice in choosing a hostel in Marrakech.
Layla Rouge is the perfect Marrakech hostel! It’s really centrally located in the medina, very close to the main square. You can walk to all the major attractions. The hostel itself is so clean and beautiful with an amazing rooftop. The staff are all so kind and helpful, especially Ismail. He went out of his way to help me with anything and everything I needed. I really hope I get a chance to go back to Marrakech soon and I will 100% definitely stay here again!
