Helpful and friendly staff. Best continental breakfast, such a good variety and amount. Very comfortable bed, clean room and powerful shower. Great location for beach and old town sights bars, restaurants and shops.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Excellent showers, very comfortable bed. Good places to eat on same street. We had rented bikes which cd keep in garage, and coastal bike path was very close. I wd def go back if in Malaga again

Great Hotel! Fantastic Room
I think 2 Star is very harsh, the decor in the recpetion is old but cute, but the room was stunning, very morden, clean and comfortable. Short walk to the beach and city centre. I will plan to stay again.

Stayed here for two nights in November. 2024, really liked it, room on the 4th floor was a little bit more dated than the room on the second floor, which was beautifully appointed. Overall a very convenient place to stay, about 20 minutes. Walk two the center of town with tons of shopping and dining opportunities. Highly recommend, would stay again.

Absolutly perfect
Everything was perfect! The room was extra clean, confortable, nice view. There is no balcony but good windows you can open. There are two terrasses , one rooftop with view of ocean. The hotel us well located near beach and old town by walking. It was quiet, I appreciated everything in that hotel. The ambiance is agreable. It is a family project. So they care. We have complete breakfast served at the table for afordable amount. I will go back for sure. I felt good all 9 days i stayed. The pictures are the same as the hotel.

Quick one night stop over before catching flight home next day. Lovely friendly reception, but you need to let them know before arriving if you need parking. Don't assume there will be room when you arrive. We were fortunate. Room very large and clean and lovely modern bathroom.

Ok hotel.
Everything was great. The reception was accommodating in speaking English. The only issue is the poor design shower unit. Swing doors do not seal proper thus the floor soaking always. Be careful not to hit the tap the wrong way or you get super hot blast. No coffee maker just kettle for instant coffee. Restaurants in the area don’t have hours conducive to meals.

Great location - walking distance to beach, restaurants, old city, museum, and fortress. Beds are very comfy and AC is excellent. Lovely rooftop garden to watch the sun set in the evening. Breakfast is top rate - perfect coffee with hot milk, warm freshly-baked rolls and croissants, freshly squeezed orange juice, granola, and yoghurt.

This was just a two night stay following a trip to Granada that left us close to the airport. The Hotel is 5 minutes from the beach and about a 30 minute pleasant walk to the Cathedral and town centre. Hotel was clean and well presented. Staff were helpful and the breakfast excellent. All-in-all a pleasant stay.

Beautiful Hotel & Wonderful Staff
The staff at the Hotel California is extremely friendly. They provided information and help. The hotel itself is beautiful and clean. The room was comfortable, and had everything one can need. The location was perfect. It was a block from the beach, and walking distance to restaurants. It was a 5 minute taxi ride to the city center. We had a great experience and I highly recommend this hotel. It’s not in a super busy area which was great, since the busy area was a 5 minute walk away.

The hotel has no ramp, only the stairs and had to carry our luggage’s towards the reception. Breakfast is excellent. The personnel is friendly and ready to help. Would certainly go back.

This isn’t the best hotel in the world but it’s friendly, quirky and good value. Staff are great, very decent/ big breakfast. Decor is odd but cute. Room is really stuffy without use of fan and air con. Location ok, 15 mins out of centre. On bus route. Deffo worth checking out if on a budget.

The hotel is very near the beach which made it really easy tog back and forth multiple times a day (to siesta when it was very hot!). It’s also near a large supermarket to get water and snacks. The public transport is very close, with a bus stop directly outside the property and the buses taking you straight to the city centre. The rooms themselves were very nice and newly renovated with excellent air conditioning. Would definitely stay here again!
