Rio is undergoing refurbishing. The workers are working continuously. I had a refurbished room & it was very nice. The casino new and coming along quickly. Staff was very nice.

If you stay in the Ipanema Tower I think you’ll enjoy your stay. I stayed in that tower for 3 days and had an enjoyable experience. It was clean and quiet. Staff were friendly. I had a friend stay in the masquerade tower and honestly, it looks and feels like 2 completely different hotels. The masquerade tower was dark and dingy and severely needed to be updated. Unsure how towers are determined as we paid the same price and had vastly different experiences. If you can request the Ipanema Tower, I would. If I was placed in the other tower, I’d pass on the hotel completely. However, I did enjoy my stay in my assigned room.

I really loved the room, it was set up very nice and it was clean, the hotel is working on renovations so when finished I am sure that would take the cleanliness rating to a 5. Staff was as helpful as they could be. I have stayed at other Vegas hotels and been able to go to the pool and enjoy my coffee, this pool was open 10-5pm which was not convenient. Also, may I suggest a small coffee maker for the rooms, it is such a great convenience to be able to have a cup while getting ready instead of making the trek to the lobby for Starbucks, which is a huge wait, then having to make your way back to get ready for your day. People who truly love coffee and tea first thing in the morning this is huge!! The surrounding area needs to be a little more convenient, you can't walk anywhere quickly or safely. I am sure that the other issues were due to the renovations taking place, which would have been nice to know ahead of time, as we may have choice a different hotel this time around.

I really enjoyed our suite on the 20th floor even tho it was a bit dated it was very clean and very spacious. Parking was great either do valet or self park very convenient. I cloud not get enough of the coconut mango drinks very refreshing and Tony’s cheesesteak was very good. I know Rio is remodeling so once everything is complete I’m sure it will be well worth it.

The rooms that we got had a layer of grey dust around the entire edge of the room, bathroom full of hair, bathtub missing in some spots the porcelain coat, doors with no locks, the smell of cigarette smoke in a none smoking room, TV the size of a laptop, couch super dirty full of black stains. The only good thing of this Hotel was the staff, very good at helping customers out in any way possible. Overall they should not put anyone into those older rooms, and if they keep doing so they should get reported.

This property had an employee key into our room and steel all of our belongings. EVERYTHING. If you check news from the last year it’s happened multiple times even to guests while they were sleeping. I would take this location off your site or you’ll be paying a lot back to people who get the travel insurance. Police reports were filed.
