Our stay here was a mixed bag. First, the good. The unit itself is new. There is a new & modern dishwasher, oven, and cooktop. There is a good refrigerator, cupboard space, and enough cookware and cutlery. With 3 bedrooms there is plenty of space. The pool, when available, is nice, as long as you are tall/can swim: the depth is a consistent 5ft.
It has the makings of the perfect spot. So why 2 stars? We were there for 2 weeks. For the entire duration of the trip, the pool deck was being retiled. While the crew made efforts to make the pool accessible during this period, during the day they were working around the pool, talking loudly on their cell phones, running the tile saw, etc. The owners first claimed that the work would only take a day to complete; then tried to tell us that the work was not continual (it was). The work was still on-going when we left (again, 2 weeks later).
The internet stopped working midway through the trip. Our request for someone to look at it was ignored for a day. It wouldn’t have been fixed at all had we not kicked up a fuss, and escalated to the owner. The ad says that the property has a TV - technically correct, but no cable service. You must bring your own streaming service and device. Which also requires working internet. There is a grill - charcoal. No one uses it (we tried, an hour later the grill still wasn’t hot). There is no safe in the unit. There is a house alarm - one key fob so everybody needs to leave together or you need to leave the unit unalarmed.
Midway through the trip, the property manager (who had ignored previous requests to replace burnt out light bulbs and fix the internet) came by at 9:30pm and said that the new tenants for the unit next to ours were on a delayed flight, and she had no idea when they would arrive. She then asked if we would take the keys and check in the guests when they arrive. I did not appreciate her asking us to wait up to all hours for her guests and to do her job. Very unprofessional. Later, when the other guests arrived, there was no one to let them in.
When I mentioned this to the owner, their only response was to ask if I was going to post a bad review.
The condo, if the atmosphere around the pool wasn’t in the middle of construction, would have been excellent. However, the real issue is the poor property management. If any issues arise I wouldn’t have confidence that they would be addressed. I won’t stay here again.
