Tailgate weekend
It was mediocre. There were not any hangers in the closets. We could not find dishwasher pods. The remote for the master bedroom was missing.

Good for 2 families
Really enjoyed our stay for UTK Parents Weekend. Worth noting however, one bedroom shares a jack and Jill with the twin room. Most likely It’s really only good for 2 couples. We had 3 couples and it was tough because one had the pick of twin beds with a shared bath or bunk beds on the 3rd floor. The shared bath is just very close quarters with the bedrooms. The bunk room has only beds. It needs tables and a mirror. The 3rd floor would be good for kids. The place is big and you can walk to market square and old city. The maintenance was very responsive and easy check in and check out. Would stay again with this info in mind.

Terrible Neighbor-Homeless knocking on back door
This is NOT a safe home or neighborhood!! My 80 year old mother and I arrived earlier than my husband and kids. We entered the house and it was dark and had a very musty smell. All the windows were covered by big black velvet curtains and when you opened them, not only were they dirty but they faced a home with boarded up windows. We went upstairs and all the bedroom doors were closed so opening them and entering was quite eerie. My mom heard a noise on the main floor and went down to find a drunk homeless woman trying to get in the back door. We were very concerned. I called the property manager and said that we were concerned and did not feel safe staying there. After hanging up the phone, I called my husband, during our conversation, we heard loud footsteps coming from the 3rd floor, my mom and I froze. Then the noise happened again! We grabbed our purses and ran outside. When we got in the car, we were both shaking. The property owner refused to give us back any of our money so we not only had to pay the entire 4 nights stay but had to pay for hotel rooms for all 7 of us for the 4 nights. I was very disappointed in the location, near a underpass with about 150 homeless people, the house and the service!! I will also be contacting The Chamber of Commerce! I was hoping to get this resolved with the property manager but they do not care about our safety! I also suspect that the positive reviews on the rental site are all fake.

Great Place to rent for graduation instead of hotels. In Old Town which is very trendy upcoming with restaurants and shops in walking distance. Lots of space with 3 floors, 4 bedrooms. Our family had a lot of fun and relaxed graduation activities! Would even consider renting for football weekends!

Fantastic Space!
This VRBO was excellent. Perfect amount of spacing with outstanding appliances. The only negative is the thin walls. The location made for inexpensive ride share services, and you could literally walk to breweries, shops, etc. I’ll definitely secure this VRBO again in the future!

Infested with meal moths; very stained carpets, water rings on wood furniture
This truly would have been a perfect rental if the place had been properly cleaned. We rented the house for a family event nearby and while the pictures match the digs, the whole house was a flutter with baby moths--in cupboards, drawers and even the shower! The stained carpets in the living room and primary bedroom distracted from the fabulous layout, thoughtful design elements and great location. I loved the tub, the rainshower and the kitchen, just wished the property managers had attended to these things before our stay.

Our Family and friends were at at wedding. We had a day of decorating, then the wedding. This place was perfect for letting us rest up for the next day. We had plenty of beds, bathrooms and space. Parking was perfect. I would recommend this location, especially if wanting to attend events downtown/Old City. The halo hostess was so handy for "Old School" and Tech handicapped. Thanks again for the hospitability.

Perfect house for our stay in Knoxville
Beautiful home, just 4 blocks north of Old City, less than a mile from Market Square and Gay St. Very spacious, lovely décor, super clean, and the hosts were extremely responsive. All of the standard amenities were in perfect working order, kitchen was modern and well stocked. A couple of extras we appreciated were the stand-alone ice maker by the wet bar as well as the upgraded design features in the master bathroom. There is a fun craft brewery next door, which wasn’t a noise issue, but did make parking challenging on a couple of nights when they were crowded (otherwise parking was easy.) Also, if you have toddlers or anyone with mobility issues, the stairs are pretty steep and long and not carpeted, just something to be aware of. We had an amazing 4 nights here, and would highly recommend to anyone looking for a group friendly space in Knoxville. (P.S. – My sister says to make sure to bring tissues, as these are not provided. Pretty much everything else is, though.)

Our group came to UT for a high school music training weekend at UT with a group of 4 students and parents. The home was a great amount of space for everyone to have some privacy and gather downstairs for hanging out. It is decorated very well and had comfy beds! We loved being minutes from campus and close to the abundant downtown dining scene. It was a great experience for everyone! Also, any questions about the property were answered promptly. Great place, great location
We had a full house for most of the time. Some walked to the Convention center while others availed themselves of my husband's chauffeur services. The house was perfect: we cooked, we dined at the lovely round table, there were plenty of plates, frying pans and pots. Everyone chipped in on food. Fred made coffee, cleaned up (dishwasher was great) and sharpened all of the knives (a service we started providing to our hosts in Scotland). Wifi worked great and the beds were very comfortable. We had plenty of bathroom space (recommend that Halo list 3.5 baths instead of 3) and there were plenty of towels, good laundry facilities and all the things we needed for a lovely two-week stay. Parking on the street was easy: always found several open spots right across the street from the front door. There is a grocery co-op right down the street with awesome sourdough bread and plenty of grocery stores in a short ride from the house. There are lots of restaurants close to the House and not a far walk from the house to the convention center led us to Koyo and the Crepe place on Clinch. Two great restaurants.
