The staff at Hampton Inn/Financial District were wonderful. We also appreciated the easy access to the freeway from the hotel. This location is also an easy walk to the convention center and other downtown amenities. he reason this hotel did not receive a higher rating was due to one of the elevators being out of service during our 3 day stay,

The A/C in the room was terrible, the pillows sucked, sheets were dirty, and the refrigerator didn’t work. We were in a room without a window and right next to the elevators so sleeping was hard. The staff was okay and we felt safe, so that’s a plus.

The faucet leaked underneath and the tub switch didnt work. The breakfast did not have many options that looked appetizing. Not a good experience overall. Staff were sweet and helped me with my lost phone.

The accommodations had some minor issues, such as maintenance concerns and limited privacy in the bathrooms. However, the hotel did offer a convenient snack area and a commendable breakfast selection. The surroundings were safe and convenient for accessing downtown Kansas City. Overall, I would consider staying here again for basic accommodations and a quick breakfast, but I would recommend seeking alternative accommodation for a more upscale or extended stay experience.
