We encourage you to express your culinary creativity in the well-appointed kitchen. The space is fully equipped with stainless steel Bosch appliances and granite countertops, and we have provided every appliance & utensil to prepare the perfect meal or refreshment... just bring the ingredients. Enjoy your meals on the spacious lanai or dine indoors in the climate controlled air conditioning. In addition, our commercial grade Vitamix blender lends itself well to preparing creative libations or smoothies with fresh local produce.

Honeymoon stay
Overall was a great stay! But definitely had some hiccups along the way… checking in and the room is even better than advertised, but unfortunately we felt like our privacy was invaded a bit on the third night. Around 9:45 pm the cleaning crew came into our room completely unannounced while we were sleeping, and it’s safe to say after that we were not super pleased. Other then that this is a great location!

Great Ocean View Studio
Excellent studio for 2 people. Comfortable bed, clean, and a great view. The beach chairs & umbrella were great for a quick stroll down to the beach. However not a big deal but self parking can be difficult sometimes as the underground parking gets full at the resort. Check in/out process was simple. We would definitely comeback and stay here again!

Wonderful views and resort!
The responsiveness of the management was also efficient and timely. From arrival to departure everything was taken care of. The only thing I was expecting was a mid-week cleaning of the room, however I didn't request it either so perhaps that's something I'd do differently in the future. Great experience and highly recommended.

Love the upgrades to the decor, especially enjoyed the extras (beach chairs, mini cooler and beach umbrella) in the suite. The welcome gifts are always a lovely touch, but just wish a few extras like spices (besides salt and pepper), aluminum foil and saran wrap and plastic lidded containers (for leftovers and beach picnic transport) were included. Love love the lanai for cocktails during sunset, and early morning coffee. This was my first time staying in the Konea building, and I like the building orientation to the ocean better. It was my husband's first time in Kaanapali and Honua Kai and he was bowled over at the size of the Studio suite. Mahalo for the wonderful stay!

The kitchen was a bit sparse. Not even a sponge in the sink. Coffee filters, oil, salt and pepper was all the kitchen came with. It did have dish soap, garbage bags and Cascade. But that’s all. It would have been nice to have at least aluminum foil or Saran Wrap for leftovers.

Great location & Great resort!
There are only two minor complaints for our stay. I didn’t like the 5pm check-in. Would’ve liked it to be earlier. Also the TV feed was spotty but not a big deal because we didn’t really watch TV. Other than that, our experience was amazing. We rented the studio with an ocean view. That’s exactly correct. The ocean view was sufficient for us. Great amenities in the studio apartment. Fridge, stove, micro, washer/dryer, coffee, toaster and many other things. The resort grounds were simply amazing. The pools and spas are awesome! Thanks again and would love to come back soon.

Everything you need!
Booked this trip on short notice, and had limited time to plan or research our hotel. Was nervous to book this one so quickly, but it had everything you could need. Beach front access, the famous Dukes restaurant, a great gift shop downstairs with reasonable prices and within a short drive to Front Street. We spent a lot of time at the beach of this resort watching the Whales. Bring your own shampoo/conditioner/bodywash/lotion (they give sample sizes) Kitchen: Bring ziplocks, aluminum foil, and your groceries. Great place. Would definitely book again!

Fun Stay
After staying at a nearby property for years, we thought we’d give Honua Kai a try-our son stayed here last year. The unit was great, staff very friendly & helpful. The beach is nice. The biggest drawback was the pools-if you don’t stake out your place by 9 am, forget finding a spot for two or more. Also, none of the 4 hot tubs was in top working order. Many were dirty & had only one jet functioning. We rented through Maul Resorts & they were wonderful. We had an issue with our ice maker & they had it fixed very quickly on the same day. Overall it is a nice property, but I think we’ll return to our older one nearby next time.

Wish I could give 6 stars!
The property was outstanding! The bed was comfy, the view was incredible, and the supplied beach chairs/toys enhanced my family's beach time experience. Check-in and check-out was easy and the basement parking garage was easy to get in and out of. Maui is paradise and this property served as a great home base for us to come back to after our daily excursions around the island. We will definitely be staying here again!

Parking--extremely dangerous . small spaces, entrance & exit had blind spots, We beeped horn coming and going. parking lot hot.. Condo very nice. Only suggestion is there was a shellfed closet, It needs a light. I couldn't see even with hall light on

This room needs some attention........bed is horrible and tv not working properly
We’ve stayed at Honua Kai every year or so for the last 6 years. This was the first unit we have been less than thrilled with. The TV was not working properly upon arrival. It was flickering on each channel. Called property management and they sent someone up who was not able to find the problem. Nick followed up with me that evening as promised saying that it must be on Honua Kai’s end but would get back to us. Didn’t hear anything until a few days before checkout when he called with checkout instructions. He didn’t say anything about TV to me and when I mentioned it to him he said that a couple of the engineers had come to our room but the do not disturb sign was up both times. There was zero effort to communicate with me to let me know that which is upsetting. My main concern is with management rectifying this issue prior to the next guest since it’s probably a deeper issue than something in the room since TV was already switched out and cables were checked the first evening. It’s likely a bad cable in the wall that needs to be investigated by Honua Kai. The bed is HORRIBLE. This is the worst bed I’ve ever slept in and needs to be replaced. There are two large craters worn into it making sleeping a challenge. The beach umbrella was broken as well. We love this resort but will not be checking back into this room in the future.

perfect for 2
this is a great place for a couple. we liked the convenience of how close it was to town but it was at the end of the ocean walk so it was not crazy busy. we watched the whales from our balcony and also the beach, so that was cool as well. The only downside I would say is that there are very limited places to eat that are within walking distance. But you can get to places by car in about 10-15 minutes, so that was ok. the room was perfect and the wristbands for access were convenient. we also had a jeep and kept the top down, so the garage parking was great! I'd recommend this place without reservation if you want to be close to the action of Ka'anapali Beach, but not right in the middle of it.

Great resort if you have small children.
The resort was clean and well maintained. Very noisy with screaming kids. Needed an adults only area and pool. Our room lacked the needed utensils to utilize the kitchen I.e. No pot holders, place mats, BBQ fork & tongs, platter to take food to BBQ area.
