I was severely underwhelmed with my stay at Elegant Hotel. From the moment I got there and noticed the wifi did not work. To the subpar breakfast which should have been advertised as nothing more than a little bit of cheese and pastrami. The bathroom had a very disgusting odour and there was no fan. I told the front desk there was no fan and they said “there is” I asked where and he said he would turn it on. There was no fan. The smell as soon as we got there from the bathroom was horrendous they need to check for mould. The shower was dirty and the shower head worked poorly. The faucet had two modes. Extremely powerful or minimal pressure. On the brightside, the room was tidy. The balcony was nice and the bed was very comfortable. The biggest issue I had with my room (106) was the WiFi. There was no connection and in a very specific part of the room, one bar of connection to the wifi. I had to sit in the lobby with my wife to download shows for us to watch and to just simply use the wifi. I had inquired about the weak wifi with the staff and got a blunt response of “there is wifi in all rooms” and then one of the staff members went upstairs and came back down and said there is wifi. He blamed my phone as the problem but all our devices had the same issue. They advertise a sauna and spa and there was none of that. We had set aside a few hours of our day looking forward to utilizing their facilities advertised but were unfortunately mistaken. Very unfortunate part of my trip:/

The owner of the property and his son Salih was very helpful and very kind. Even though they couldn’t speak fluent English but managed to communicate. Very nice staff members and the guy who helped with luggage.every time you sit in the lobby you get free tea 😊.property is very clean and nicely built , rooms and very spacious.I had double bed room but was very big with a seperate living/dressing area within the room.Eyup sultan turbesi/mosque is hardly 5 mins walk . Excellent in every way I would say.the only trouble we had was getting a taxi as this area always have issues with getting taxi on the Bitaksi app. So we walked towards the main road and got taxi after 5 -10 mins of standing there. Overall experience was excellent, I did not have breakfast so don’t know about the food but will definitely stay here and would recommend to others too.

Safe and calm place to stay in Istanbul.
If you are looking for a comfortable place to stay in a very safe part of Istanbul, I would highly recommend this hotel. There are lots of restaurants all around, and this is a more conservative part of Istanbul, which I found refreshing. Everyone at the hotel was very hospitable. And the price was great. Also, there is a commuter train nearby which get you closer to the main parts of Istanbul.

On July, 6th 2021 I booked a room through Expedia to stay at The Elegant Hotel for me and my Fiancé while touring Istanbul. I had one week booked through Expedia. Expedia did not have listed on their website prior to booking that you needed to present a marriage certificate in order to stay in this hotel. I checked in at the desk and they gave me a room key, I didn’t use the room but waited outside at a local restaurant where my Fiancé’ shortly met me. We walked back to the hotel to head to our room for the night when we were stopped and asked to present a marriage certificate. Needless to say they wouldn’t allow us to go to the room that we had a key for after I had already checked in and they gave me a key. We were put in a really tough situation with no place to stay and now short on money due to this. I asked for a refund and they said I had to contact with Expedia, Expedia denied my refund due to their "Early Check out policy" , I did not stay at this hotel or use any of their services. We were not permitted to stay due to their marriage rules, these rules were not stated prior to booking this hotel on Expedia. The Elegant hotel took my money, checked me in and checked me out within 2 hours without any refund and without us ever stepping foot into a hotel room. I am disputing the charge with my bank now. I do not recommend this hotel if you're American they are extremely rude and make sure you feel unwelcomed. The off street parking is impossible.

Amazing place to stay if you're looking to explore the spiritual side of Istanbul. For those who wish to visit the tomb of Hz. Abu Ayyub Ansari R.A., this hotel is a convenient 5 minute walk away. Nice neighborhood market close to a minute walk away. And here's the bonus tip: the prices for some of the items in the market (like Turkish Delight, or Tea Sets etc.) are lesser compared to other renowned attractions such as Egypt Bazaar or the Grand Bazaar. Would definitely recommend and go stay there again.

Modern place but not that comfortable.
We had a nice stay but the tv was too far from the bed and we couldn’t connect the hdmi. The bathroom was too close to the bed. It was huge place with lots of modern touches. Nice stay tho.

Very bad experience
Staff iş not cooperative. Room was not cleaned. Tea making facilities not available. Kettle was not provided on request. Bell boy did not help to pit luggage. Very bad experience. Will never stay again and don't recommend others to stay there. Before check out they behave badly and called many times to check out. For not give extra one hour to pack the bags.
