Everything walking distance
It was comfortable and very close to public beach area which was very crowded each day. This isn't a place for someone that doesn't appreciate crowds and busy restaurant's. Condo was as advertised. Ice maker didn't make one cube all week

We stayed at this property for four nights. It was clean and in a super convenient location. The beach was right across the road - a 5 minute walk tops. The beach was gorgeous! There is a fun beach bar called Dinghy’s with live music just a short walk away. Most of the bars and restaurants seemed to close at 10pm. Getting to downtown Charleston is a 20-30 minute drive. The check in was really quick and easy.

Beware of Parking Limitations!
When I booked this stay, I thought I would have parking for at least 2 vehicles. The written information inside the condo anctually said 3 vehicles were included. After I arrived and asked for the parking passes, I was told there was a “new policy that was just implemented” and we would only have 1 pass! Parking in that area is extremely expensive and difficult to find. They offered zero help or suggestions when I asked what options I had to address the situation. So frustrating! The condo itself was old and very run down. Drawers stuck, the ice maker did not work, outlets did not work, the furniture/decor was very shabby, and there was a dead rat at the bottom of the stairwell that was there for days. Gross! I picked this condo for the location and ease of parking/getting to the beach. We will not stay there again.

The location and access to the condo is great. The rooms were clean. The only suggestion is the furniture, rug and kitchen appliances need updated. Otherwise, we had a wonderful time.

Short and sweet
The apartment was ok! Take your own toiletries . The location was very disappointing. Bldg A is furthest from the ocean and the deck view is a water tank-and the Island Realty office . Although the dempsty dumper is closer than any other buildings so dumping the trash was a breeze. We had fun over all. I just wanted a rental over looking the ocean 🥵Maybe next time!

Cleanliness Would Make a Difference
Tears in the couch, stains in the couch bed mattress, carpet not vacuumed, blood stains in one chair, cable did not work in bedroom, etc. I understand that this is not a 5-star room; however, cleanliness is not an exception. I contacted maintenance about the cable who then stated that it was an xfinity problem that they could do nothing about. Tried to contact the property manager regarding the condition of the room, but she was on vacation. Being that this was my first vrbo experience, I was already nervous about accepting the terms and conditions prior to even seeing the room. I will definitely be more cautious next time. I implore anyone considering this property to really dig into the comments, and question what you are willing to accept when signing the terms. We ended up vacuuming the carpet ourselves, but was still apprehensive on letting our kids play on it. Let alone sit on the chair with blood stains. Everything in the apt was outdated making cleanliness much more important.

Nice location but needs updates
Our surprise at the condition of some of the furniture was compensated with a rebate, but I would ask about the sofa and dresser drawers that won't open, and the headboard before booking this unit. Kitchen was equipped to do meals and location was good. Island Realty did their best to assist!

We had a wonderful stay in Isle of Palms. The condo is very convenient to shopping, restaurants, the beach, and pier. Also very quiet which is nice as we had our baby with us. The place seems to be very old so could use some TLC but it worked fine for our short stay.

Good location but very dirty
1 block away from the beach but the beds were absolutely filthy. Melted chocolate and food all over the master bedroom bed. Other comforters just as dirty. Clearly they are not washing them even without covid. The rest of the condo was fairly dirty too. 2 messages sent to the vacation rental company and not a single response received. I would not rent this property. There are much nicer ones in the building that were better cleaned on previous stays.

Nice place for three friends to share. Bed linens, pillows, towels and blankets need updating. Photo on line had a view of the beach from balcony, but our unit faced a parking lot with no view of the ocean, it was misleading. The place was nice without the view and we would rent again.

For a longer stay we would probably opt for a unit with an ocean view but for our purposes (it was March and we did not have time for the beach) this was fine.
