Did not stay as I was charged the online total for the room BEFORE the deposit was decided that I could not pay. I told the front desk the there wasn’t an online notice about the $40 deposit. I told him multiple times. Then he gave me a card to go inspect the room. While I was doing so I was charged the room total and then was told I couldn’t stay because the deposit wasn’t paid. I was already charged the room. So the wisest decision wouldn’t have been to dismiss me but allow me to stay as their sign also states “all rooms must be paid in full by 12pm (following day)”. Then I was told I wouldn’t get a refund until 3-5 business days. So that put out a place to sleep + still had to make arrangements and had cut into the food and gas budget for the day. Then when I asked for a receipt he said “you’ll see the charge the room on your debit card app”. That’s true but also doesn’t show that he canceled and issued a refund so they could easily put their guests out of money and not bat an eye. Why would you charged the room before the deposit? Even after I mentioned very clearly “I can’t stay here then because I can’t cover the deposit”. It’s very sketchy and very very fishy. I will be in constant contact.
