Our Marina by Waikiki stay
We enjoyed our week stay at the Ilikai Marina Condo very much. It was lovely and decorated very nice with beautiful and comfortable furniture and bedding. The kitchen had everything! A few things to note: - The lanai only had one chair to sit on (we didn't see the other one stowed away anywhere in the condo), so my husband and I took turns. - They were renovating the downstairs restaurant (the Chart House) so there was plenty of construction noise starting at 7 am! - The building was having water problems and sending shut off notices to all the residents. We received one but it was on a day that we were going to be out all day so it didn't matter. We received another one and it was going to be for longer hours but we were leaving that next morning so it didn't matter as well. The owner did text us and asked if everything was ok which was very nice. Bottom line.....for considering any vrbo stay, you may want to check in on the place for things (like construction) going on in or around the area!

Ilikai marina condos
Property is in a great location. Water views are fantastic. Everything you need is there. Bus stop 50 metres away which can take you anywhere on the island. Beach chairs, towels, boogie boards all there.major shopping centre 10 minute walk. Highly recommended place to stay.

Clean property, good location
Good location with working distance to the beach and shopping mall. The apartment has everything we need for our stay, full kitchen, beach gear, bathroom supplies. Working AC, internet, Roku TV, $28/day parking, only ramp access at 7th floor elevator, laundry costs about $3.5 each washing or drying load.

Great location, easy to get around. Clean. They had all the items needed for fun on the beach. Sleeper sofa not working was a disappointment, however they credited us one-days rental. Be sure to pay for the parking pass.

Nice condo but complex not easily wheelchair accessible
We were in Hawaii to attend a wedding. We selected this condo since other family members were staying in the same complex. The condo itself was very clean and well equipped. Having air conditioning was a real plus! The views from the condo were nice and sunsets were gorgeous. What we did not know until we arrived was that the red chair in the photos was missing and the sofa bed was broken so could not be used. This was a bit disappointing since I broke my foot a couple of weeks before our stay and had to use a wheelchair. I had planned on using the red lounge chair to keep my foot elevated. But the condo was spacious enough for using a wheelchair. Unfortunately, the outside of the complex is not easily wheelchair accessible. The outside "ramp" to access the elevator level is not clearly marked, is very steep and is shared with the garage parking ramp. The "bridge" that connects the marina complex to the other part of the complex is also steep and is also not clearly marked. Once we found it, navigating to the other parts of the complex was much better. I would definitely not recommend the marina complex to anyone using a manual wheelchair unless you have someone assisting you. The ramps are way too steep to get up by yourself. But overall the condo was great for the five days we were there.

30th anniversary trip
The condo was clean and had everything we needed. However, it would have been nice to know they have an ant problem!! Spent almost $30 at a speciality backery and did not get one bite due to the ants! The bathroom fan is so loud you can not hear a thing. Sounds like an airplane! The sliding door to the very tiny balcony is so heavy and sticks needs work. It had a nice shower. Easy check in and out. The hideabed is broken so I was glad we did not plan to use it but for families expecting that extra bed it would have been disappointing! We enjoyed being able to walk to the beach,shopping and restaurants! Over all it was a good place to stay.

Great location in Honolulu
Overall a good impression of the property. It was close to major streets, overlooked a great little harbor and beach (fun to watch the surfers), nice little market nearby to pick up a few grocery items, also close to LOTS of restaurants and food options. It was very quiet within the condo complex, however, there was an off street along the harbor with a lot of evening traffic and loud car stereos. Not the owner's fault, at all. We were still on Central Daylight time, so we were going to bed around 8ish. I will say it did quiet down. We would recommend the property.

Great location with handy, affordable parking. So many wonderful extras included - beach towels, beach chairs, boogie boards and snorkel equipment. Great view. We had a wonderful week and would definitely stay here again.

Central location and well equipped
We just stayed here for 4 nights and had a great time. Ilikai Marina is located near enough to walk to Ala Moana and in the other direction to the heart of Waikiki. The kitchen and bathroom look like they've been remodeled at some point. Big walk in shower with great water pressure and hot water. The kitchen has nice granite or maybe quartz counters and lots of cooking implements. Pots, pans, coffee maker, rice cooker, toaster and more. The only meal we cooked was breakfast so I can't vouch for anything else. We did buy a non-stick saute pan for eggs because the one in the unit hasn't been non-stick for a long time. We left it for future renters to enjoy. The only thing lacking in the kitchen that we noticed was glassware. One wine glass is definitely not enough! Lots of other things provided including beach chairs, cooler, beach towels, umbrella, baby folding playpen (I think). Really well thought out. There is laundry on the 8th floor and the machines use an app so no digging around for quarters. We used it and the room and machines were spotless. Parking is $23 a day in a garage under the building. If you have a rental car pay for your entire stay the first time you exit. That will give you a card so you can swipe in and out as many times during your stay as you want. No waiting every time to pay. It can be a bit noisy with the marina below so if that bothers you, bring earplugs. We didn't have any noisy nights but a couple of days were a little rough with someone blaring a radio down there. Only negative in the unit is the bathroom fan. It sounds like an aircraft accelerating for take off. Replace it if at all possible.

My family vacationed in Hawaii for 12 days - 13 nights and we stayed in this condo all throughout. It was very comfortable for all of us. The house is well equipped for all amenities and also some beach chairs and umbrellas. The property is very clean and the location is just perfect. We will surely stay again if we come back to Oahu.

Place was awesome and convenient.
Place was great, just be aware parking is an extra $23 a day but that's the only thing I can really criticize. Place was clean, had an AC, lots of space, a balcony, and a pullout couch. If you're on the fence, book this place.

Nice location
The location of the condo on the Marina was nice and matched its cost. The condo has all the basics (eg., utensils, towels, cleaning supplements, beach equipment, etc). If you need anything there is a ABC store across the way and Walmart is a 20 minute walk away (take the shortcut through the mall). There are plenty of good restaurants near by and walking distance to the beach. There is a parking garage nextdoor, which was helpful. The cost was $23 for 24 hours or $8 for 10 hours. You might be able to find parking on the street, but it is a waiting game. As guests, everything reported about the property in the comments were helpful. The owner was very responsive and I appreciate him answering my elderly mother's questions. There are minor things that can be resolved. The shower curtain should be changed, a full length mirror would be nice, and possibly replace the beach equipment (chair and umbrella appeared old/rusty). My parents did find 2-3 bugs (not flies). Would I stay again? Yes, the unit was comfortable and the issues mentioned here and in other comments are minor and fixable.
