Every conceivable water sport may be enjoyed here, from deep-sea fishing, inshore fishing charters and crabbing, to sail and powerboat rentals, to sightseeing and nature excursions, to dinner cruises. Shelter Cove is the center of many of the island's evening activities. Harbourfest is held from April through August, and has exhibits, vendors, entertainment, and loads of fun for the entire family. For convenience, there are TWO grocery stores -- Kroger and Whole Foods -- in the Shelter Cove shopping area, and another -- The Fresh Market -- is just a bike ride away.
