Simple but comfortable, 1 bedroom, full kitchen, living room and bathroom with shower. Bedroom contains a queen bed and the living room has a Futon that sleeps 1. Open the sliding glass door and fall asleep to loud rushing river. Located in Bat Cave, NC which is only 2 miles from Chimney Rock Park and 3 miles from beautiful Lake Lure.

Couple's Getaway
Perfect for a quiet couple's retreat, enjoyed hiking and antiquing during the day and relaxing on the porch listening to the river in the evenings and watching the fireflies. It was the cutest cabin and very comfortable in a beautiful mountain location with lots to do in the area.

Romantic Cozy getaway
My husband and I adore this small quaint little cabin . It was very clean , well stocked , and peaceful . It was just what we needed ! We’d love to rent this one again, but for a longer stay next time .

The River Cabin That DID!!!
When you pull up, you realize how amazing the sound of the water is. The cabin is quaint, small, inviting, and EXACTLY what we wanted. My wife kept saying "You did a great job picking this cabin." We do not get out much but we loved the cabin, the rver and the surroundings! Thank you for this wonderful little get away!!!

Convenient weekend getaway
We’ve stayed here a few times now & it’s in a convenient location to other areas to hang out and hike, plus you’re still close to Hendersonville and Asheville. We will love how you’re basically sitting right over the river while on the deck.

great place will stay again cool river under the porch BUT WILL NEVER USES VROB AGAIN book direct terrible service cannot get a written invoice and told me call the owner they said call vrob will go direct not worth the hassle but this place is awsome

Loved our stay here !
Great experience! River runs right at the edge of the cabin on the back. Large screened in back porch. You will need to bring a fan with you to help distribute the air conditioning. Window unit in bedroom only but with a fan blowing out into the cottage, its comfortable. Very clean , thoroughly enjoyed our stay there and would rent again !

DO NOT REQUEST THIS PROPERTY!!!
Spider infested. Filthy dishes and glasses left in cabinets. Air conditioning not adequate for house. Fridge was not working when we arrived. Property manager was kind enough to provide a mini fridge later in the evening. Fridge had yellow water filled with bugs in fridge drawers. Two velour blankets looked like someone had slashed them with knives and left 10 inch holes in them. Parking for one car even though it was booked for 3 adults. We all drove up in separate cars and parked as best we could to accommodate neighbors. Apparently that didn't suffice because 10 AM the next morning the neighbors blared their car horns at us then proceeded with a profanity laced attempt at intimidation. The neighbors then called the police to come talk with us. They agreed the neighbors were crazy. Temporarily ruined our trip. Thank goodness for Rhonda, the booking agent, who helped make things right for us. She refunded our money immediately with sincere apologies. I STRONGLY URGE anyone looking to rent this property, DONT DO IT.

Perfect Little Getaway
We absolutely enjoyed our time in Bat Cave / Lake Lure, and will be returning to this cabin very soon. There are a handful of decent entry spots to get down to the river. If you go right down next to the house it’s not “easy,” but there is a little grassier area a couple of feet away from the cabin where it’s almost like there are some makeshift steps. The window unit in the bedroom was perfect and seemed to help cool down the rest of the cabin. The deck is amazing, and is where we spent most of our time. We don’t need much as we’re usually traveling for some destination spots and just need a good place to unwind at night - so glad the deck was as nice and spacious as it looked online. I’d suggest bringing some cushions for the non-rocking chairs out there though. We made use of the kitchen and all worked well, plus they made it easy to clean up after yourself since there were cleaning supplies, etc. There’s a charcoal grill that’s off to the side of the house and you can overlook the river while you cook which is nice. Thanks for a great spot!

Quaint place
This house is right on the river. The sound of the river is extremely constant and prevalent - but incredibly relaxing. The house is small, but quaint and perfect for a couple. There isn't easy access to the river, which was a disappointment and no Wi-Fi (didn't even think to check this as this is pretty standard anywhere you travel) - however, we were able to get by without Wi-Fi as the telephone signal for Verizon was adequate (something that was not expected in the heart of Bat Cave). Good location - short drive to Chimney Rock and Lake Lure, as well as the Upper Hickory Nut Falls trail and the Wildcat Rock trail. It was also fun taking a step back in time watching some of the stocked VHS movies on the old VCR player - be kind, rewind! As an added bonus we got to watch a groundhog across the river each day as he made his morning rounds.
