Breathtaking! Rest Area East has the best of both worlds. The charming beachfront duplex is just steps from the water's edge, but it also has a refreshing pool. The living, dining and kitchen area open onto a screened porch that overlooks the pool and beach. Rest Area East comfortably accommodates up to 18 happy vacationers. Imagine yourself relaxing poolside while gazing at the surf! Pro-Tip: Stock up on all your favorites beverages because this house has two full size refrigerators!

The Space

Rest Area East has got it all! You and your guests will love all the space and amenities. You'll be able to chill in the living area where you can watch the large screen TV or play family games all while taking in the breathtaking views through the expansive windows. There is also a sleeper sofa. Everyone's invited to dinner as the massive dining table seats 14 with an additional four seats at the kitchen counter. The family cook will appreciate the full kitchen. Stainless steel appliances and granite counters complete this updated kitchen. Guests really appreciate the bar area with an icemaker as well as a second full sized refrigerator.

There is a sweet, "beachy" queen bedroom with private full bath (which also open to the hall) on the main floor. Also on this first level is a convenient half bath.

The screened in porch will provide even more space and seating for meals, games and gorgeous views of the beach and pool. You'll have the best of both worlds should you choose to dine al fresco! Spend some time at the beach, then take a dip in the refreshing beach front pool or enjoy sunbathing on the comfortable lounge chairs.

Head upstairs and you'll find an additional living area with a sleeper sofa and large screen TV that's perfect for the kiddos. Two delightful King bedrooms are sure to bestow a tranquil space to unwind and relax. You'll wake each morning to spectacular views of the gulf! Both King rooms sport televisions for late night shows or the morning news. One King room has a private bath and the second King room and a Queen room share a Jack and Jill bath. There is second Queen bedroom and a bunk room with two sets of twin over twin bunks that share a full hall bath. Rest Area also provides a washer, dryer and outdoor shower.

While we make every effort to keep the pool operational and available for use, sometimes issues outside our control arise and the pool may not be available for use for all or part of a stay.

Fort Morgan

Located a scenic 20 miles from Gulf Shores, you'll find everything you need close at hand. Dollar General and Sassy Bass Market are just a few miles away and have all the basics you might need. There are several restaurants nearby offering a variety of tasty dishes. Tacky Jack's, Sassy Bass (2 locations), Coast and brand-new Jesse's (opening soon) to name a few. Some venues even offer live, local entertainment.

Fort Morgan fishing pier is now open, and anglers will have access to convenient inshore fishing and the abundant species locally available.

Be sure and visit nearby Bon Secour Wildlife Refuge with over 7,000 acres of coastal habit. You'll be able to hike through the preserve and observe local flora and fauna. There are 4 trails, varying in size and terrain and you'll definitely want to make time to visit this natural oasis.
