Sleep late in the hand-made bed, read a book by the fire, stroll the ancient footpaths in the private fairy woods on the property. Located in south County Kilkenny and offerng sweeping views of Ireland’s breathtaking Blackstairs Mountains, and a home base for those exploring Ireland's Ancient East as we’re centrally located for making day trips to all the spectacular views and attractions therein. Walk, cycle, canoe along the beautiful River Barrow. Have a pint of Guiness and listen to traditional music and join in interesting conversations in the local pubs.
Your host Victor can point you to places of interest locally and speak to you about the Ballyogan Project on the land which involves others developing a more sustainable lifestyle collaboratively in community. Graig-na-Managh is a small town founded by Cistercians in 1204 and the Duiske Abbey has been restored to former glory in the 1970's. Wander around the old laneways or stroll along the tow-path on the river admirring ing the house boats moored along the quay.
