Welcome to Margherita House, your tropical bungalow steps from the Caribbean Sea. This luxury one-bedroom, one-bathroom with views of the ocean and sunset is surrounded by lush vegetation and countless options for lounging in the sun or shade.

Margherita House has access to a stunning members-only pool on the Atlantic side of Wykee Estates (a quick drive across Queen’s Highway) and just past the pool, access to one of Eleuthera’s famous pink sand beaches.

Margherita House features a large and elegantly furnished living room with ocean views, and an open-plan, fully equipped kitchen.

The ocean-view bedroom suite is furnished with a king bed and has a large and luxurious bathroom with a walk-in shower.

Walk out onto your enormous wrap-around veranda with sun and shade and views of the sea and surrounding gardens, a perfect spot to lounge with a book or relax with morning coffee or a cool drink.

Margherita House is steps from the Wykee Estates boat ramp where fishing or cruising charters can retrieve you for a day of adventure. The Wykee boat ramp has some of the best snorkeling on the island, steps from your door, with many varieties of colorful tropical reef fish. You can also fish for fresh grouper right off the ramp.

Beautiful, private home steps from the ocean
We loved our stay at the Margherita House. It is located in a beautiful, quiet, gated neighborhood and is a few steps from a boat dock where you can swim and snorkel. The house is nestled in some trees so it feels very private, and there is a wraparound porch with chairs that are perfect for enjoying morning coffee outside. The location is excellent too, as it is close to Governors' Harbour for trips to the market, the Friday night fish fry (a must), and to get coffee at Da Perk. The air conditioning unit in the bedroom was malfunctioning when we were there, but the hosts and house manager were very responsive and communicative, had someone come look at it, and said that the unit will be replaced. We had a wonderful trip and hope to return again!

We enjoyed staying at the Margarita House. The house was equipped with just about everything we needed. Kitchen fully equipped. Linens, washer/dryer, hair dryer, (wish there was a flatiron) cooler, beach chairs! Wish there was a beach umbrella! House is 10 min walk from beach & pool. Only issues we had w house is electricity outage multiple times but this is an island wide happening. I think the house should offer generator for backup. Most of the time it went off late evening hrs and it was HOT. We would have been ok but most of the beautiful doors do not work! Only the side entry door works properly. This needs fixed and screens need to be put in windows and entry door. Screens on French doors need to be user friendly. The outages lasted a few min up to 3 hrs. Again this is island wide not a Margarita House issue. The a/c in the bedroom needs fixed it leaked horribly bad. I did inform the property manage Linda who is extremely nice!! Other than that great stay. We were 5-10 min from small grocery store w basic needs. We made breakfast every morning. Within driving distance from the Friday Night Fish Fry, Frigates, Buccaneers, & Tippy's restaurant- this was also our favorite beach to hang out at. Our visit was June 13-22, 2024 which is low season so a lot of things were closed. 1 hr drive from Harbor island which I highly recommend!! Overall beautiful island & house.

Great Location
Overall, a nice vacation abode. Be prepared for several electrical outages - NOT an issue with the owners/managers; just a part of being on the island. The kitchen was equipped quite nicely, the bedding and towels were very nice and clean. There are a few things that could use some tender loving care - such as the kitchen sink faucet, back door lock (prior to our arrival), the guest bathroom faucet (again, before our arrival) and the facings on the cabinetry. Other than that, we were very content.
