You can splash at 3 community pools in the summer through Chalet Village Resort that also has clubhouses with games, tennis courts, playgrounds, and fitness equipment. The cabin is also near the ski slopes of Ober and not too far from downtown attractions, ideal for romantic trips or family stays in the Smokies.

Inside, spread out in the living room that boasts a high ceiling, plump sofas, a charming (wood-burning) fireplace, and a TV with a DVD player. It's a nice spot to gather with coffee in the mornings and wine in the evenings with a movie or a riveting read. Hungry? Fix up something savory or sweet in the fully equipped kitchen or on the charcoal grill outside. And serve meals and snacks at the dining table that also works for board games, crafts with the kids, or setting up a laptop for work.
