The guest house has two-bedrooms and is located off 29th Street, less than a quarter-mile from the beach and one-and-a-half miles from the Galveston Island Historic Pleasure Pier for amusement park rides and midway games.

Downtown Galveston- cruise port, shopping, dining, museums, galleries, and live entertainment is two miles away; a quick 5 minute trip by motor vehicle.

The guest house is updated and modern throughout and has family-friendly rental features, glossy hardwood floors, plush furnishings, and all the modern conveniences of home.

Bed bugs
After a 14 hour drive, we were excited to crash at this rental before boarding a cruise ship the next day. Much to our horror, when my wife woke up from a nap after checking in. She was covered with bed bugs from the bed in the front bedroom. When we contacted the host, he told us to move out and he would refund our stay. He did offer a refund MINUS fees. Not acceptable!!! We then contacted VRBO to make alternate arrangements for the night. They refused to assist us. We checked and there were available properties in the area, but they would not accommodate us. Not acceptable!!! We then found a hotel to check into last minute. After we check in to the hotel we receive an email stating that we have to go through certain channels to be reimbursed for our stay in the hotel. Of course, this is after we used other booking services. Not acceptable!!! So the fight is on with VRBO. This was a nightmare and I haven't woken up from it yet. I can recommend nothing favorably about this property or this service!!!!

Wonderful property for a quick getaway to Galveston. The furnishings were beautiful and artistically placed in the home. The beds were too tall for our party of older adults. A little difficult getting up and down on and off the beds. With that said, we really enjoyed our stay

Adorable house in a great location for the cruise terminal. It was clean and well kept.
This house was super cute and cozy. The decorations were adorable as well as the house was very clean. We appreciated the detailed instructions we received before our stay. The beds were very comfortable and we had a great nights sleep before our cruise. We will definitely stay here again!

Owner gave very clear instructions on the checking in/out process. He clearly indicated what the expectations were as renters in the emailed document. Communication was reliable and fast. Owner was accommodating re our luggage. The internet Network Name and password could be reworded for people who are less tech savvy so they will know how to find it easily. I took off 1 star for the following reasons: -I couldn’t turn on any overhead light without the fan being on too. The metal cord snapped/unhooked so the shorter light cord was unreachable even if I was on a stool. It was winter. -The neighborhood is a bit noisy (sirens, car doors). We’re light sleepers. -I *feel* that the 2 rooms could fit bigger beds potentially. Because the beds look and felt like double instead of queens. But I’m not 100% sure. -No breakfast options like hotels (cereal box variety or an apple/banana would be nice especially if we’re hungry in the middle of the night) -1 Bedroom connects to the bathroom which has a bright, color changing night light. (a viable solution is to close the door but I was too drowsy to think of that) -Mattresses were a bit springy. As in you can feel the springs after a while. I was fine in it but my husband had a hard time getting comfortable.

Very cozy home
Oh my goodness!! We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. The home was darling, clean, inviting, and stocked with water, coffee bar, and even a cabinet for mixed drinks. So many extra touches that made us wish we were staying more than one night. (Came in the night before a cruise) We split this with another couple and the price was very reasonable. I would highly recommend this place and looking forward to booking a few nights here next time we're in Galveston.

My husband and two adult children rented this lovely home while visiting another son who is attending A&M Galveston. The house was decorated beautifully and was very comfortable and was even appointed with a festive Christmas arrangement on the front entry table. Given the timing of our stay we did not go to the beach but it is a short walk and in a location that is convenient to access most Galveston attractions. The owner thought of everything from bottled water. And tea bags to individual creamers for coffee. Towels, sheets and furnishings are all high quality and the cottage was spotlessly cleaned. Barry’s instructions for access and other communications were seamless. We very much enjoyed our stay will definitely return!

I have rented lots of houses and apartments in lots of places. This one is absolutely one of the nicest. It is just perfect - clean, nice things (not beach house old/junky things), nice utensils and kitchen items, etc. It is mu larger than you would think, and the whole place is just wonderful.
