Wonderful location and amenities

Great location and property with a very responsive host! Having the pool right outside the condo was wonderful. The beds weren’t the most comfortable and the unit could use a deep clean but it was well stocked with lots of extras to use at the beach.

We had the perfect stay in Galveston! This condo had everything we needed from the stocked kitchen to all of the beach accessories! The condo was very clean and in a great location! Great Location and Value

We've stayed at this complex several times over the years, and this unit is definitely one of the best. First and foremost, Bob and Lillian were fantastic hosts—easily the most accommodating we've ever had. The beds were comfortable, and the home was spotless and nicely furnished. Being on the first floor and so close to the pool was a huge advantage, and the short walk to the beach made it even better. Without a doubt, we'll be staying here again.

Great place. But did not like the fact we didn’t know the hot tub wasn’t working until we were waiting for it to get warm at 9 pm. Very disappointing. $40 to park seems excessive. But the condo was beautiful and kept very clean. No complaints about the condo itself or the owners. They kept in great contact.

Dawn first floor 811

Our stay was fabulous. This is our second time to stay at the Dawn condominium. It has a very easy check-in process, it has two pools and a weight room that my young adult son took advantage of. It is just a short walk across the street from a nice Beach. And right across the street from Walmart for easy grocery access. The room itself, room 811 was exactly as advertised. The kitchen was very well stocked any utensil or dish you could possibly imagine needing including a Keurig AND traditional coffee maker. My family made much use of the toaster that was a nice touch that you don't always find in some condos. The guest closet contained items that could help enhance the trip such as beach chairs, umbrellas, board games, etc. If you are traveling with a small child, there was even a high chair. The host was very kind & more than helpful in providing the proper codes and even went above and beyond to offer suggestions for the area. I coukd go on & on, but I would highly recommend Dawn condominium room 811 (Dover's Corner) to anyone. Thank you, Mr. & Mrs. Meason!

The condo was very ,ce. Good size bedrooms with their own bathrooms. we don't drink coffee, but thought it was nice of owner to provide it. Gives guest time to get to grocery store. Beach towels, cooler, etc. were great Especially if you are flying in and not driving your own car. TV in bedroom closest to parking lot was not working- I checked connections and it would turn on, but then kept cutting off. Tension rod with bathroom shower curtain fell down and I couldn't get it to stay back up. The pool was really nice. We'd definitely recommend you and would use you again, if we were going to be in the area. Thanks for your hospitality!

Perfect getaway!

Very Relaxing and peaceful. Very clean and modern home.Beds we’re comfortable. Great communication with the owner. Pool and spa were very clean and we really enjoyed it! The lotion provided was helpful as we did soak up lots of sun. I even found a bread pan and decided to make banana bread! Everything we needed was provided. It was definitely worth the money we paid! We hope to come back again.

Close to the beach and Moody Gardens

This year instead of staying at a large resort, we opted for a private condo. The condo is close to the beach; you can easily walk across the street. One of the pools is visible from the balcony/porch. However, you cannot access the pool directly from your porch without jumping the fence. The condo was quiet and we appreciated the dark curtains in each room. There were plenty of cooking dishes if you choose to cook most of your meals on site. They also had beach chairs and beach towels so we didn’t have to pack unnecessary items. There were plenty of paper towels and toilet paper to use. I appreciate that they did not ration the dishwasher or washer pods allowing you to do multiple loads of dishes or laundry while staying at their condo. The owners were engaged and easily accessible for questions or issues. The directions and info sent via email were detailed and easy to follow.

Ideal place to stay! So comfy.

This is such a great place to stay. Right next to the pool and so close to the beach you can walk there. Condo was stocked with so many essentials for cooking and laundry, truly appreciated it. The location is great, conveniently located but a grocery store as well as walking distance from sweet treat! The amenities at the condominium are perfect for a getaway. My family and I had a wonderful time here. Felt like home away from home.

Great for young kids

So easy to access on the first floor and convenient to both beach and pool. We had 3 kids ranging in ages 7 months to 2 years and we all had a great time. There was even a high chair and awesome little baby beach lounger. Even some fun puzzles and toys for the kids. Everything was clean and comfortable. We will be back!

Great Location; Wonderful Condo Owners; Substandard Condo

The condo owners are simply lovely. They are kind, communicative, responsive, warm and welcoming. The Dawn property is fantastic. We have stayed here before, and we love the property itself and the location. That being said, we were highly disappointed in the condo itself and do not believe that the VRBO rating of 4.8 truly reflects the quality and standard of this particular condo unit. The condo is outdated and is in great need of major updates and repairs. We were highly disappointed to walk into a condo and view old worn out furnishings, walls that needed painting, old rugs, old and stained carpets, and dim, dark lighting. The DVD player didn't work, the DVD remote had its battery case taped on with Duct tape, the key pad entry to the front door would not allow us to change the 10 digit code to a more simple 4 or 6 digit code, and the front door kept sticking. The bedroom closets were sloppily filled with extra storage items, and the one bedroom closet even housed paint cans that caused the entire closet to smell like paint. The patio was poorly decorated. The patio furniture was unattractive and substandard. The table appeared to be a wooden slat TV tray, and the legs were old and rusted. The chairs were low budget in comfort and appearance. The bathroom baseboards needed painting, and so did the bathroom walls. We found a broken wine glass in the kitchen cupboard, and lamp in the bedroom with a burned out light bulb. The condo also had an old tattered ironing board with an iron that didn't work. The stove was old, and the oven was dirty. The air vents were also dirty. There was no Kleenex in the condo. We had to go and buy our own. The kitchen floor had holes in it. The linens were stained, old and unattractive. There was absolutely no drawer space in our bedroom. There were makeshift drawers from baskets. Our owners stated there was coffee in the refrigerator. There was no coffee in the refrigerator. We had to go and buy some. We have stayed at the Dawn Condominiums several times before, and our condos have always been beautifully decorated, modernly updated, and have had fresh new linens, great lighting, and attractive patio furniture. We always believed the price and the rating reflected the value. This time, we were greatly disappointed and did not believe that to be true. We paid a pretty price for a substandard low quality unit.

Perfect getaway for our little family. We felt safe. The convienence of everything made it nice. Did a wal mart pickup order upon arrival and had everything we needed. If you have an infant then this is your place. There’s a high chair pack and play and baby bath all right there. Beds were comfortable. Check in could be a wee earlier..
