Elevator was not working upon checkin. Changed the type of room due to having to take stairs. The room was super out dated and old. Did not have a mirror outside in the room only a short small one in the restroom. You could hear talking outside window of the room and running / clamoring down the inside of the halls. Men talking on their phones in the hall. Seemed like working men type of hotel. Didn’t feel safe for single women travelers. The lobby and outside seemed nice but the walk down from lobby to the halls/room is super long and shady.

When booking through expedia, there were no mention of fees that WERE expected upon check in at this hotel. Yes they were possible mentions but those were deeply hidden throughout the site information. When i looked after my trip. There was a room deposit needed upon arrival along with a daily parking fee. These fees are mentioned on the hotels direct website not on expedia. I dont personally understand why there is a parking fee when its a parking lot that the hotel is directly upon. If knowing there would have been a fee, i probably would have chosen a different hotel. Other then the hidden fees, the room and the amenities were good. The bed was comfortable. Overall hotel stay was good. Literally just the hidden fees that were upon checking in. Those should have been listed at the forefront upon booking with expedia. Even the statement from expedia said no more money was needed more upon arrival

I'm happy with my stay, comfy as always. Room was dirty, bed looked like someone was sitting down on it, there was trash on top of table, there was a towel on the floor in room. I just wanted to rest already, didn't want to deal with anything.

2-night stay at Thanksgiving visiting family. Doubletree is consistent and kids love the cookies. Only one working elevator made for delays as hotel was pretty full. Not sure if the location was good because Texas is massive and confusing but it worked for us.

Could be a little cleaner. The room smelt like cigarettes. Walking on sidewalk with stroller was impossible as people were parked with their hitch balls over half of the sidewalk
