Welcome to Sandpiper 401. Be prepared to enter and stay in comfort. This condo was completely renovated. Every television is a smart TV and the living room tv is 62", the bedroom is 48" and the bunkroom tv is a 24". The condo has a Kuerig for your morning coffee and everything need for your stay. All mattresses are new and Temperpedic. The living room has a sleeper sofa.

This Beautiful Bay Front Condo has been professionally decorated to allow you all the enjoyments of your vacation destination and still bring you all the comforts of home. The corner unit has spectacular views overlooking the Award Winning Lazy River Lagoon Pool and Choctawhatchee Bay. Sit back and relax on your private balconies watching activities on the bay and you may even spot a school of dolphins. The views from this unit at night bring the Lazy River to life with a fantastic array of light!

The master suite has a comfortable King Size Bed. It is decorated in rich jewel tones and has a 48" Smart TV with cable provided. Step through the sliding glass doors onto a private balcony. Relax on the outdoor chaise lounge and choose a book to read or simply enjoy the beautiful ocean view and sunsets.

The bunk room has a door for privacy and is decorated in bright, sunny colors and has its own private bath.

The kitchen is outfitted with everything you might need to prepare a wonderful meal. The counter-height table is an excellent place to eat or play a game of cards. The new owner has replaced all of the appliances with new stainless appliances and all of the accessories with top of the line to include a single serve Kuerig coffee maker.

You have access to many excellent amenities at Destin West Beach and Bay Resort including the 700 sq. ft. Lazy River with waterfall pool (heated in the winter), and gradual incline pool for the little ones. There is a beautiful lush garden complete with palm trees down by the Bay where you and your family are provided with picnic tables and charcoal grills.

Our resort offers the only covered elevated walkway in the Destin/Ft Walton Beach area across highway 98. This walkway connects to our beachside resort. You also have access to all the amenities on the beachside which includes a 5,000 sq. ft pool, a 1/2 covered pool, kids pool, and whirl pool spa. Best of all is the access to the beautiful Emerald Waters along our powder white sandy beaches. The Boardwalk is directly across the street with shops, and restaurants, and entertainment.

S401 is a wonderful condo - the unit was clean, had the essential supplies and more, felt like a comfortable home (esthetically pleasing decor; comfy sofa, chaises on balcony), the primary bed slept well for us ( medium firmness), the kitchen had everything we needed (+one of the few units we've stayed in that had a Keurig & spices). Easy check-in and no issues so we did not need to contact the property mgmt.

Nice property in a nice location. Views of both the Bay and the Gulf. Floors needed a good scrubbing, but everything else was spotless. Amenities were all very nice. Beach access was really useful

We stay at Destin West EVERY summer. I come twice, once with the girls. This one of the nicest condos we’ve stayed in. The beds were comfortable. The extra balcony off of the master suite was quiet and less crowded. My kids love the proximity to the lazy river. Nice updated kitchen and comfortable living room furniture. I would stay here again.

Sandpiper 401

Our condo was beautifully furnished and well equipped. Our access and view of the pool area was perfect. It’s a as so nice to have a washer and dryer. We also loved the Keurig Coffee maker. We only had two issues. The WiFi ID and password did not match. Also the sliding door onto our wonderful balcony was extremely hard to open. All and all we loved our time there and would recommend Sandpiper 401 to anyone.

Great Room, Location, and Amenities! Room had everything you could possibly need for weeks stay vacation. Only two complaints; #1 the master bedroom mattress needs replacing as it’s extremely stiff and sleeps hot. #2 their is no beach service chairs included with this room when I thought I read the original posting saying they were. Other than those 2 items, we enjoyed our stay at the Sandpiper 401

Very nice condo!

Very nice condo. We thought it was nicely decorated, furnished well and clean. Beach is a bit of a hike but pool & lazy river at condo are awesome. Only complete is one of the hot tubs didn’t work and neither were very hot.

Great stay

We stayed for a week and it was great! It was beautifully maintained and very clean. The beds were comfy as was the living room furniture. Just wish it had a little more: had tons of spices, but no salt or pepper. Had toilet paper but just one roll. Had a keurig but not even one pod. Just simple things like that. I guess we are just used to those with other private rentals that aren’t company run. But other than that, our stay was great. The pool was great (waterfall wasn’t working) and so was the lazy river. Perfect temp the entire time, great for night swimming and right when it opened. We also loved the pool that was beach side. Huge and lots of swim space. The beach is a little walk from this specific unit, but we’re walkers and liked the stroll. Definitely check that out after sunset when barely anyone is on the beach. So beautiful! We utilized the gym and that was great as well! The garage with beach supplies was a great added bonus.

Mostly as advertised but no WiFi

The WiFi never worked. We were able to log on for about 15 minutes when we first got there and that was it for the week. So don’t depend on WiFi bc you won’t have it. Didn’t have any sheets or blankets for the pullout couch when we arrived. Had to walk over to another building to meet someone to give them to us. Other than that everything seemed to be as advertised. It was quite a walk to the beach- over a pedestrian bridge over the highway to the other part of the resort and then down to the beach.

Great stay

My husband and I stayed here with our four children and had a great experience. The garage unit with wagons, chairs, umbrellas and beach toys is so nice. We flew allegiant (reads very little luggage room) so to have those items available is a huge bonus. The lazy river is super fun and the location of the resort is perfect. We used our Walmart grocery delivery service to have groceries delivered and cooked our meals in the condo. Most seasonings were provided. There is a Tom Thumb directly next door if you need any last minute items as well. For the beach, I suggest you utilize the bridge to cross over to the ocean side, but do not enter the beach behind the Destin West location. Unfortunately, there are lots of chairs and umbrellas that are attached to the oceanfront resorts so there is very minimal room directly in front of Destin West. If you are not pulling a wagon, feel free to enter behind the oceanside Destin West and then walk down the shoreline until you find a spot with more space. If you are pulling a wagon, however I suggest you walk down to the Seaspray resort and enter there and utilize the public beach access behind that resort. This will make the majority of your wagon pulling on the road and not the sand. We were able to walk to several restaurants from here and to the Gulfarium as well. Would definitely stay again.

Relaxing stay

We had a wonderful time staying at this condo. The view of the pool and lazy river is beautiful! The condo was very nice as well. Everything we needed was provided to us. The only 2 complaints I have are that it could have been cleaner. The bathtub, floors were pretty gross. Attention to detail like wiping down the front of stove, dishwasher, etc. would go a long way. But I am a bit of a clean freak. Not everyone is like that. The other complaint is the beach area. There is no where to sit on the beach unless you rent the chairs and umbrella from the company on the beach. They leave no access for people who bring their own chairs, unless you want to sit behind their 3 rows of chairs and umbrellas. If you have kids, I surely don’t recommend this because you can’t see your kids in the ocean. We got lots of dirty looks from people who did rent chairs when we tried to squeeze between them so we could see our son in the water. I reached out to the property manager who was very willing to address the problem for us. Unfortunately, the ocean was closed to swimmers the next day due to rip tides so I’m not sure if the property manager was able to actually see the chair company squeezing people out. It’s unfair to people renting chairs and to those who don’t. I hope the problem is resolved for future guests.
