I always like to stay at Pikes. The staff is always friendly; the rooms are always clean; the breakfast is always good. My complaint from this time, was that it had snowed and got icy and there wasn’t anything put around, especially on the parking lot and walkways to help give any friction on the ground so you don’t slip. It was my first time staying in a cabin. They’re super cute. My only complaint was that it was noisy while inside especially a banging noise before the heater turned on. It happened while we were sleeping and I thought someone was throwing something against the cabin on the outside. The noise was actually on the inside.

Windows are not sealed to prevent cold draft in addition to the drafty windows , Air conditioners allow cold air to enter the room therefore cold floors. the air conditioner needs to be covered up to prevent cold air drafts

The property is unique to Alaska and has a lot of character. It has nice trails from the property for walking your dog. They have a restaurant onsite. Friendly staff and dog friendly.

One of the best hotels to visit and stay!
An amazing place to stay! They had so many things to see and do. Right on the river. Three fire pits. Small theater, pool room and small library in one building! Large gathering area off of check in, with fire place, games area with many games. Ice cream and bar. Two other amazing buildings. Sauna and steam room. Was a lot of fun!!

Glad we stayed here! After driving around the rest of Fairbanks, we quickly realized we made the best choice. We absolutely loved the corkiness of the property, all the amenities and views. Ice cream social every evening for 1.50 was great and the breakfast was delicious. Staff at breakfast was so helpful with good information on things to do in particular Olivia! She was wonderful!

I really liked how cute, clean and comfortable the rooms were. The staff were courteous and Mal was especially friendly and knowledgeable on the local information and sites. Also, Ursula took great care of the details that I had asked for as it was my big birthday trip and she made me feel welcome and surprised at the cake, grapes, wine and balloon that awaited me- wow! The only challenging part was the construction noise that was happening in the next lot during the day, but it was not so bad to put a damper on this wonderful trip! The breakfast provided was also a great plus as it was more varied than what I expected- Also, the transportation to and from the airport is also an added bonus that makes things a lot easier! Many thanks to all- I look forward to visiting Alaska in the future!

This is my first visit to Fairbanks, primarily to visit my son who is attending UAF. I had originally considered staying in one of the chain hotels that have popped up along Johansson Expressway, but I’m glad I did not. Pike’s was simply amazing! The staff was friendly and attentive, and the facility simply used Alaskan charm. The complementarymorning breakfast buffet was top-notch. The on-site restaurant was terrific, and you cannot be the hand scooped ice cream in the evenings. There is no question in my mind. I will be staying here next time I visit. I’m looking forward to staying here again when the river is frozen and I can take advantage of the sledding hill.

Pike's Lodge is a unique, whimsical, family-friendly stay where you will immediately feel at home. Enjoy a scoop of ice cream in front of a fireplace while playing board games with your kids. I deducted a star because the facilities are a little run-down, but you can see they are trying hard to renovate and expand their offerings. This is not the Ritz, but you'll have more fun here!

While the property is dated it has a wonderful nostalgic feeling that is authentic to the vintage nature of days gone by and the historical significance of the area. Just a wonderful surprise inside- we win most definitely start here again. Breakfast buffet which was complementary was above what we expected. Might avoid the restaurant - both our meals were dry, hard, unpleasant. We didn’t finish either chicken tenders or fish and chips - halibut. Beds and room were great big TV plenty of room for unpacking if you wanted, water pressure fantastic. Book through orbitz we saved over $100 a night on a room with double beds vs the hotel website!!!
