The flat you'll be given is not the one you thought you'd booked. Arrived at Capel St to collect key from kebab shop (!) but key not there. We were told to go back after an hour but that we'd get a flat in Parnell St. When we returned the instructions changed to going east to Custom House area, picking up key from internet café opposite Connolly Station. Wandered round two Custom House compounds for over an hour searching for "Block B" which doesn't exist - it's actually Beresford House. No replies to calls or texts at this point. Finally found that our keycard opened an exterior gate, then we tried every block in turn before finding that we could enter the last one, after which we found our flat and gained entry. TV aerial point broken and Wi-fi was out of credit. Nothing was done to remedy either during our 5-day stay. Cleaner then arrived but he could not gain access - missed him as we only knew about the rear entrance and were unaware of the front entrance. Eventually met cleaner and he changed bed linen and removed rubbish from the last guests. He showed me where the front entrance was. Flat pretty filthy. Shower curtain was disgusting (see picture). Most window blinds broken. All this is such a shame as the flat is nice in itself and is in the nice area of Custom House with shops and restaurants and on a tram line. With proper care, good management/administration/customer service it would have been nice accommodation. I would recommend avoiding Market Suite Apartment.

It was hard to get in touch with somebody to talk to about issues with the property. The carpet was dirty throughout with stains and it needs to be vacuumed. The couch was sunk in and it have a bad odor to it. No one gave us the wifi info until after we was there a while and complaining via email. They switch the rental place on us with telling us

Appartment stays are always hit or miss, and sadly this one fell into the latter category. Booked because it was cheaper than the (eyewateringly expensive) hotels in central Dublin, but even then was more than I would expect to pay in e.g. Glasgow or Edinburgh. Arrival instructions were very James Bond - go to a kebab shop and ask for someone by name (only omitting the carnation in the buttonhole) - but they worked and I got the keys. The lift was out of order and the apartment was on the 2nd floor, not the first as advised. The apartment was comfortable but the facilities were basic - no TV (although there was broadband), very limited crockery and cutlery in the kitchen area, no bedside lamp and furniture/bedding that had seen better days. Towels were provided, although needed close examination before use. The bed was comfortable, although the sheet was slightly too small for the mattress so one corner kept coming off during the night. The bathrooms was in need of a serious deep clean and had a noticeable mouldy smell, and the shower head sent more water sideways than down. I did not use the cooker but the microwave was OK as was the fridge. Only a couple of plastic glasses were provided. Very surprisingly there was no "welcome kit" with information etc. Eventually I found a sticky note with "please return keys to kebab shop" stuck on a hallway wall. As I was checking out in the morning for work, I had to drop them through a shutter.

Decent location, washer/dryer but hard to get in touch with owner
I wouldn't stay here again mainly because it was nearly impossible to get in touch with the owner. He didn't respond to numerous emails over the 6 weeks that lapsed between booking and arrival. I finally had to make several international calls. We picked up the key at a Kebob shop, never even saw the host. At the shop they couldn't actually tell us were the apartment was or how the keys worked to get in the 3 doors it took to get to the apt. We finally figured it all out but it was stressful. I had to call about something and asked for a nearby restaurant suggestion since we'd just been on an international flight and didn't want to go far. The host couldn't come up with one. The apartment itself was okay for budget travelers, it was relatively roomy but, frankly a little shabby. The bedroom had a comfortable double bed with decent closet space; a living room had a double mattress on the floor, a (worn) sofa, and a table; and, a small kitchen included a washer/dryer, stove and refrig. (basically no dishes or silverware, though). There was plenty of hot water for showers, and wi-fi was good. The carpet throughout was stained and there was some noise at night from local residents 2 of the 4 nights we stayed. The location was pretty good about a 10 minute walk to the Temple Bar area.

The good, the bad, the undesirable.
We had read terrible reviews (only after booking) and so we were quite apprehensive. Things didn't start off well, as the owner did not contact us to instruct how to check in. Only after messaging him, making an international phone call to his mobile, AND asking hotels.com to contact the owner did we receive our instructions. They were to pick up the keys from a kebab shop at 20 Capel St, and not for an apt on Capel St, but Ryder's Row a short walk away. Previous reviews had us worried over the state of the apartment. But, to our surprise, it was clean, tidy, spacious and really quite nice. There was a double bed in the bedroom, and a double mattress in the living room along with necessary bed linen. The hot water EVENTUALLY worked, but my advice is as soon as you get in, go to the boiler and set it up to heat for two hours so that there is hot water in the tank. It isn't an electric shower as it looks like, its a hot water tank. We slept well, and the kitchen was well equipped, so once we had gotten over the task of checking in and finding the apartment we enjoyed our stay.

The hallway to the apartment was damp and smelly the bedroom looks nothing like the picture, the carpets and the sofa was all stained, there was a old mattress up against the wall in the living room, the whole apartment was really unpleasant

don’t bother staying here
We booked this hotel and liasesed with a colleague there for two months and it wasn’t until we flew there we where informed our booking was cancelled without them even telling us! If it wasn’t for E-Bookers we would of had to sleep on the streets of Dublin! Also when we rang them to say why it was cancelled he said he was busy doing something and would ring ya back in 10 minutes. It took half an hour and we had to call him! WORST experience and they where so unhelpful.

First of all the apt shown is not the apt you get. The apt you get is not clean, does not accommodate 3 people, does not have clean linens (sheets or towels), does not even have hot water and is not a 10 minute walk to Temple Bar area. Do not choose this listing because it is false advertising.

DONT WAIST YOUR MONEY!
This is my first bad review but I don't want anyone else to have to deal with this hassle I did. My stay at this apartment was awful. First off the address listed is not correct, we realized this after we walked to the listed address and talked to a man in a store beside us, he said so many people go there looking for this apartment, he was nice enough to let me use his phone. I called the number listed the guy answered seemed so annoyed I had called he said he emailed me instructions to pick up the key which he did not. I had to walk to a kabob store to pick up the key, ended up having to wait 10 min for the key to get dropped off and then got the wrong directions from the guy to get to this place. Seriously the worst. We finally find the apartment with help from locals and come to find it is dirty and no hot water. Would rather of stayed in a hostil instead of dealing with this place.

Address is incorrect, its actually apt 36, 116 Capel street, not 118. I believe this is a deliberate mistake by owner to avoid attention. Got a last minute email to collect keys from a local Kebab shop at 20 Capel street. No running water, couldn't bath or shower but obviously has to use toilet and couldn't flush, so after 2 days of Guinness in Dublin, you can imagine the situation. Very poor set up. Spend your money elsewhere.

Although manager says he e mailed me details of check in on day of my travelling -then said he e mailed through Expedia the day before -I did not receive any notification that there was no check in And I was supposed to pick the keys up from a shop.hence I was wandering the street trying to find the enterance -and the address was incorrect. Apartment equipment v basic.hot water only worked first day and shower did not work at all.bath in distressed state. Does not have a TV. Wifi worked ok

arrivés à l'adresse indiquée : on s'est retrouvé devant un immeuble désaffecté avec des panneaux : NOW CLOSED. tel à expédia qui nous retourne un SMS avec une adresse pour récupérer des clés ds le KEBAB de la rue et nous renvoie à une autre adresse au bout de la rue. aucune explication; grand moment de panique. appartement très sale : moquette pleine de tâches, kitchenette DEGOUTANTE, frigo, placards, four, plaque de cuisson IMMONDE . très peu de vaisselle, aucun plat, aucune jatte, tiroirs cassés, porte d'entrée : serrure cassée, vitre de la chambre fêlée; Nous étions dégoutés par l'état de l'appartement

Vuil Apartement wat eigenlijk niet bestaat
Dit Apartement hadden wij geboekt bij aankomst 18/08/18 op het adres bestond het ga niet dan komen we er achter door de medewerker van expedia dat we naar een ander adres moeten ,na uren zoeken komen we eindelijk doodop aan dat zo genaamd Apartement is dat gewoon weg smerig vuil daar laat ge u hond nog niet slapen maar wij moesten daar toch één nacht blijven met gevolg niet geslapen de dag erna zouden we een nieuw verblijf krijgen ik heb voorhand al gezegd dat ik geen kosten meer betaal en mijn vriend komt op dat adres aan en moet daar nog eens 250 € betalen anders krijgen wij geen sleutel natuurlijk hebben wij dat niet gedaan nu hopen wij ons geld volledig terug te krijgen en hoop dat ze deze accommodatie van het net afhalen Zo dat niemand nog dit moet mee maken !!

Anderes Apartment als gebucht, total versüfft!
Nach langem hin und her haben wir den Besitzer des Apartments erreicht,dieser teilte uns am Telefon mit,dass es eine Überbuchung gegeben hätte und er erst abklären müsste,ob wir überhaupt eine Unterkunft bekommen werden!Nach 30Min hatte er uns dann zurückgerufen und gemeint wir sollen den Schlüssel in einem Kebabladen abholen und er schicke uns die Daten per SMS.Wir gingen dann zu dem Laden und wollten die Schlüssel abholen, der Mann den wir dort antrafen,meinte dann,er müsse den Schlüssel erstmal besorgen,da es eine Überbuchung gab und wir müssten warten!(Obwohl wir uns 3 Stunden vorher gemeldet hatten,wann wir ankommen).Nach 45Min kam dieser Mann dann wieder und brachte und den Schlüssel.Wir machten uns auf den Weg in das Apt.!Als wir dieses betraten traf und der Schlag!Alles war dreckig,versüfft und verschimmelt. Ebenso hatten wir ein Apartment mit Schlafcouch gebucht, leider gab es nur 2 alte Matratzen für den Boden!Eigentlich war es unbewohnbar. Wir riefen sofort bei Expedia an und fragten was wir machen könnten. Der nette Herr versuchte dies zu klären und bat mich kurz in der Leitung bleiben. Kurz darauf sagte er mir, das der Besitzer der Wohnung behauptete, dass wir in dem gebuchten Apt. seien und deswegen konnte uns Expedia keine neue Unterkunft besorgen,bzw.die Kosten dafür hätten wir selber tragen müssen und es sei nicht sicher ob wir diese zurück bekommen würden. Also mussten wir 3 Nächte in diesem LOCH verbringen.Mit Kindern wäre das unvorstellbar gewesen!!

A RETIRER DU SITE
Ce logement est bien pensé, mais d'une saleté horrifiante .... Impossible d'ouvrir la porte du frigidaire, impossible de boire dans les verres, impossible d'utiliser les plaques électriques : la couche de saleté et de mégots sur le balcon limite les possiblités.... C'est indigne de la part d'HOTELS.COM de valider une telle adresse.

Chiavi ritirate presso un kebab, non sapevano quali fossero.Indicazioni per trovare il palazzo e per accedere in casa difficilmente decifrabili da un messaggio ricevuto su Expedia dall’host che non ha più dato segni di vita provando a contattarlo. Riuscito finalmente a trovare il palazzo e ad entrare in casa(per aprire il portone di strada c’è un semplice portachiavi che invece è a sesnsore avvicinandolo alla porta), trovo tutto in disordine e ancora sporco dal check out degli ultimi inquilini, il tutto risolto chiamando il numero di assistenza Expedia.La ragazza che mi ha aiutato telefonicamente si è subito mobilitata ed è stata molto cordiale ed efficiente, difatti durante la stessa telefonata è arrivato un ragazzo a sistemare e “pulire”, diciamo solo sistemare alla buona dato che si è occupato di rifare il letto e far finta di sciacquare i sanitari!Ho chiesto se poteva pulire a terra, essendoci la moquette era un porcile, la sua risposta è stata che non voleva disturbarmi con il rumore dell’aspirapolvere!Ma nessun problema, fai pure! Poi mi spiego perché a cercato di scamparsela, l’aspirapolvere aveva solo il tubo col bocchettone senza la base rettangolare o di qualsiasi altra forma più larga.Quindi si è messo a passare questo tubo a terra come se stesse raccogliendo le patate, ovviamente non pulendo nulla e scordandosi casualmente di pulire a terra in cucina dove ovviamente moquette non c’era, pavimento invaso da detersivo in polvere della lavatrice. L’immobile è carino

Instructions about the check inn should be totally clear, the adress that appears on the reservation IS NOT THE CORRECT ONE. If you are not going to have internet in Dublin, contact the phone number on the reservation before because you have to go to one place to pick up the keys then go to another to the actual apartment which I think should have been soecified

Bitte vermeiden Sie diese Unterkunft! Apartment liegt nicht am angegebenen Ort, gibt bei der Ankunft eine "Schnitzeljagt". Wenn die Unterkunft gefunden ist, erwartet Sie eine schmutzige Einrichtung, ohne jegliche Vorbereitung für Gäste. Ich erwähne es nochmals: Bitte vermeiden Sie diese Unterkunft!

Bisogna accontentarsi !!!
Complicatissimo contattare il proprietario per il ritiro delle chiavi. Ho provato a telefonargli 2 giorni prima del mio arrivo in quanto il volo arrivava tardi e quindi avevo la necessità di farle ritirare da un mio amico che vive a Dublino. Solo quando ero già in aeroporto si è degnato di rispondere, si è scusato e ha lasciato le chiavi presso un negozio di kebab. l'appartamento che mi è stato assegnato non era più quello che avevo prenotato ma un altro. Ubicato sempre in prossimità del centro ma non quello che avevo scelto io. Sicuramente le foto che fa pubblicare dai vari portali dove si appoggia non sono corrispondenti, quindi non fidatevi assolutamente di quello che vi fa vedere. L'appartamento di medie dimensioni, aveva avuto prima del mio arrivo una pulizia sommaria, Abbiamo acquistato guanti e disinfettante e abbiamo pulito il bagno, nel frigo e in cucina ho trovato quello che avevano lasciato gli occupanti precedenti. Consiglio di portarvi biancheria da letto e da bagno, quella sul posto almeno a me non dava molte garanzie di pulizia.

Ein Schlafplatz im Zentrum Dublins...
... und viel mehr war es leider auch nicht. Der Aufenthalt begann bereits mit Unannehmlichkeiten. Da wir nicht gesondert instruiert wurden, machten wir uns auf den Weg zur Adresse laute Expedia Anzeige. Dort angekommen war jedoch kein einziger Hinweis auf das Apartment oder den Ort zur Schlüsselübergabe erkenntlich. Ich rief den Kundenservice von Expedia an und erhoffte mir Aufklärung. Nach einer guten Stunde in der Leitung und mehrfachen Gesprächen mit einer ausgesprochen freundlichen und geduldigen Mitarbeiterin, ein großes Dankeschön an dieser Stelle, wurde ich letztendlich mit dem Vermieter des Apartments verbunden. Wir tauschten unsere Handynummern aus und im Anschluss bekam ich eine SMS mit den lang ersehenten Anweisungen. Angeblich hatte er mir diese auch schon vor einigen Tagen per Mail geschickt, dem war aber nach erneuten Überprüfen meines Posteinganges (inklusive Spam-Ordner) nicht so. Das Apartment befand sich nun plötzlich gar nicht mehr in der Capel Street, sondern einen 10minütigen Fußmarsch entfernt in der Parnell Street. Dort angekommen war der erste Eindruck etwas ernüchternd - Die Wohnung war zwar grundgereinigt, aber nicht sonderlich sauber. Zigarettenkippen lagen auf Balkon, Ablagen waren staubig und das wenige Geschirr, das vorhanden war, war ebenfalls schlecht gereinigt. Ein Schlafcouch, wie in der Anzeige beschrieben, war nicht vorhanden. Auch der Boiler funktionierte am ersten Tag nicht, sodass wir nur kaltes Wasser hatten. Internet lief einwandfrei
