This small hotel is located close to O’Connell Street Upper, so it’s convenient for walking to some top attractions in Dublin. The area looks generally safe too. However, the building is very old, is not very clean (carpet, tub, wallpaper…), is extremely basic at least with our room (no closet, not even hangers, or coffee maker as pictured), and THE WORST is the extremely poor insulation. We stayed for 3 nights, and every night we felt that people walking above us were about to collapse the ceiling, we heard noises into the wee hours from next door and hallway, and we also clearly heard talking/noises from neighboring buildings until later at night. Even ear plugs couldn’t help much! For one of the 3 nights, we were charged over $270.00, definitely not in line with the sub-par conditions of the hotel. The staff were nice though. Overall, unfortunately I’d not recommend this hotel unless you really don’t have much choice as in our situation or are staying for just one night.
