First time in Dublin.
Employees were very nice and I’m sure lots of things are out of their control. First room (they called it a pod) was very very noisy. Was able to move to another room and it was much quieter but no AC but was still much better than the first room.

Convenient location. Most things are walking distance. No one mentioned breakfast isn’t included. €15 for poor quality food. They made every person wait until 3pm to check in and then they were backed up. Not sure why anyone couldn’t be checked in just a few minutes earlier when they arrived. No air conditioning in the room. 1 window barely opened. It’s next door to a pub where we heard them disposing their trash throughout the night. Didn’t sleep well at all.

Exceptional
Was a great stay in Dublin. Extremely close to everything, right on the edge of temple bar area and easily walkable to grafton street. We also found it very nice to be close to the river and to be able to walk across to the pubs and restaurants on the other side. Right beside Christ church which is the most beautiful church in Dublin in my opinion. We also walked to the Guinness Storehouse, Trinity College etc. so you can definitely walk to all the main sights from this location. Maria, one of the ladies at the front desk, was exceptional and gave us great recommendations for day trips out of Dublin by DART. You can tell it’s an old hotel with somewhat lazy renovations but that didn’t bother us at all, it was clean. Would stay here again!

Hotel is quite close to everything and convenient. That said, rooms are quite old and tired. There were water damage spots on the ceiling.

Hotel needs investment
The hotel is very basic. The lift stank of cigarettes. The room itself overlooked a noisy courtyard with bottles where people started clattering around from 6am. It was too hot to sleep with the room closed. The fan did nog help much. Air Con is needed die to climate change and increased temperatures.

Right in the city centre, walking distance to the pubs, restaurants, which is very convenient, we stayed late all 3 nights that we're in Dublin and we just walk to our hotel. Staffs are very friendly and helpful.

Really nice central location for exploring the city. There can be a bit of noise depending on which side of the hotel you're staying at but that's to be expected with this central location in Temple bar but there wasn't too much noise when we were there on a Tuesday night. Staff are really friendly and helpful.

It was special to stay in a hotel where The Messiah was first performed. It is a quiet clean hotel. It can be a little noisy at night on the backside of the hotel when the bar next door closes and they begin moving kegs outside. It usually only lasts about 5 minutes. Overall, we very much enjoyed our stay.

Everything was great except 2 things. 1. There's a church nearby that rings the bell at all hours of the night disturbing your sleep 2. Like most countries off Mainland Europe, the cold and hot faucets are separate and spaced out rendering them both completely useless. I will leave bad reviews for any establishment with this nonsense and I will die on this Hill.

Generally an all round good place to stay. Just off the lively Temple Bar area, the hotel is situated a short walk from some of the main attractions of Dublin's City Centre without being too loud or busy, as it's actually on a quieter side street. Staff were friendly, polite and helpful throughout our stay - not that we needed to have too many interactions with them, but always were greeted with smiles and greetings as we came and went. Biggest complaint would be the heat of the room. It was July, and you can't necessarily expect mid budget Dublin hotels to have air-con, but we struggled at some points with just how hot it got in there. We found a fan on the second day, and this did help however. Breakfast was fine, nothing to write home about. The fry tasted much better than it looked with some really quite nice sausages and hash browns, but the cold meats and (one) cheese was not really a decent option as a continental breakfast, purely packet stuff, which was disappointing. Tea, coffee and juices all available, and all fine. It was clean and comfortable overall, and I would probably have no problem staying there again.

Too Expensive For What You Get
Room had NO windows, only a small skylight. I've never actually been in a hotel room with no windows. Overall cleanliness and condition were fine, but the room was very small and dark. Also, when I had a shower in the morning, the drain was plugged and the water overflowed onto the bathroom floor. (In fairness, staff fixed the plug as soon as I flagged it.) The location is very close to Temple Bar, whether you consider that a positive or negative.
