The place was cute, the room was spacious and the restaurant was nice and airy. The near by restaurants closed up early due to local homeless issues. We went to the Irish Potato Cake for breakfast, you must experience it, it’s just a few doors away. We felt safe in the area, it was busy, lots of people were about late into the evening. It’s close to the Guinness factory, Trinity College and Temple Bar area. We walked everywhere. Day one we walked 6.5 miles day two we walked 4.5 miles. It was great to be close to everything. We ate one night in the restaurant, the food was ok. There was live music which was not good. Overall I would recommend.

No air conditioning in the rooms. They give you a fan. The rooms were extremely warm. Windows open a little but if you are used to comfort while you sleep, not the best option. Dining and bar were great and the Celtic Show was great!

The room was cute, very noisy and hot. Would not recommend a room over looking the street. Very hard time sleeping due to the noise and the room being so warm

Just ok

Hotel was clean and in a good location. Room was decently quiet, but did wake up to some noise outside during the night. Shower was pretty bad. No reason to have a shower head at the water just poured out. It kind of felt like you got beat up during the shower. They charge 50€ to check in early which isnt ideal. Front desk was pleasent enough.

Convenient location and clean room

Great, central location with walking access to sites and tons of restaurants. The historic hotel is a little worn, but our corner room was very spacious and nice with tall ceilings, comfortable beds and lots of windows. The breakfast had many options. My only complaint was the unwelcoming and unfriendly front desk staff (except for the nice gentleman who helped with luggage). We were so excited to be in Dublin for the first time and we were greeted by rude staff. This was our only bad experience during our 2-week trip in Ireland.

Great location, service, and show!

Great location and price. We did not use the metro so idk if the location is great for that, but if youre just planning on walking around dt Dublin, it's perfect. The hotel even had a dinner show, Celtic Nights, which was fantastic! The front desk let us check in 30 min earlier w/no fee, and when we were checking out, my friend's uber app wasn't working so they were able to call a cab for us and the cabbie actually came inside to check w/the desk (which they told us would happen - thats more of a cool perk of Dublin formality/hospitality vs a TON of cabbies who will park on the other side of the st and make you walk with your bags and some who won't even put your bags in the trunk!) If i could say anything negative about the place, it'd just be that the room was a little small but it was totally manageable and not out of our expectations - places in Europe tend to be smaller in general.

Horribly hot during our July visit. No air conditioning and the window only opens a tiny bit. A shame because it was plenty cool outside at night. The bathroom is small and dated…separate taps for cold and hot water in the sink and no place to put your things. Breakfast was okay. Staff were all pleasant and friendly.
