Beautiful hotel. Decor of Detroit, Motown Music is awesome. Centrally located. NO hot water! It didn't ruin the night, but made for a rough morning.

Check in was very slow. I had a reservation for 2 rooms, both had been charged to my CC before we arrived but upon checkin I had to put an additional $129 per room on my CC "as a deposit". I've never had to do that before. Then was told "oh, by the way, we have no hot water, they've been working on the problem since yesterday". Had no choice but to stay anyway. Room was nice, nice view, it was clean but the hallway was not. Definitely would NOT recommend.

The front desk notified us the property had no hot water prior to checking in. The hot water never came back on throughout our stay. The room was updated and nice with a good view. The cleanliness of the room was lacking. When we closed the curtains, we noticed vomit all on the bottom and when we pulled back the blankets to get into bed, there were stains on our sheets.

Not worth the money. The hot water was not working in the hotel at all during the 2 nights we stayed in January, and no compensation was offered by the hotel. I strongly recommend staying somewhere else in Detroit (we wish we had).

As we entered, we were informed that the hot water in the building was not working, that there was no plan to get it fixed, and that we could rebook. As we were already in town and there were no other hotels available within several miles we opted to stay, but we’re not given any option for a discount or anything else. The entire hotel smelled like skunky marijuana. The sound on the television in our room was broken and the refrigerator froze all of our leftovers. None of the hotel amenities are accessible to anyone under the age of 21 so my 19-year-old daughter was not able to access even the restaurants on the property.

At the check in counter, we were told the hotel has no hot water and asked if we wanted to cancel or reschedule. It would have been great if they sent email ahead of time to let you know, and not when you're at the counter.

The hotel was good except their boiler went out so we had no hot water for showers. They did reimburse us for the resort fee. Other than that the place was nice and plenty to do. Easy to grab Ubers to were you needed to go.
