Christmas market trip

On a Christmas Market break and chose The Pullman for its location and reviews. Overal the hotel was very good, with only a couple of things that required attention. The tea and coffee in the room only gave the option of two tea bags, one of which was Darjeeling and the other I can't remember and also only two milks. So we could only have one tiny cup of tea each in the morning and if we tried to squeeze another out, one milk between us! The staff were very polite and happy to help but when asked about restaurants one evening they couldn't help us by giving any suggestions and on another occasion when asked about the river cruises, we were given directions on where to get tickets, only to find out that they are seasonal and weren't, in fact running! We would definitely come back to the Pullmen as we enjoyed our stay.

Pullman Hotel

Very nice hotel and in a good location, staff were excellent. Steam room was excellent, just need a jacuzzi in this place perhaps on the outside terrace as there is plenty of potential.

Great Hotel with a major annoyance

Great hotel at the heart of Köln. We had a deluxe room, which was excellent and included a free mini bar re-stocked daily and very comfortable mega-size bed. Breakfast was also better than your average continental deal. There is one major issue with the hotel, which I'm guessing they are trying to keep under wraps. On Saturday, it seems, the groundfloor ballroom turns in to a nightclub. We waited in our room to about 2am and listened the pounding dance music before we got fed up and went to the reception and asked when the noise might end. The receptionist didn't actually know but quickly offered another room from higher floor for us to sleep. On the 11th floor it was all quiet again luckily. So we finally managed to get some sleep at 3am.
