Best stay for Christmas Markets
This was such a wonderful stay from start to finish. The reception team was so friendly and helpful, the hotel was feet away from the Christmas market and the Cologne Cathedral, and the area was very pleasant. There is also a station for free hot chocolate/coffee which was so welcomed after a long day spent outside at the markets.

Super convenient to the Christmas Markets which makes up for any of the slight inconveniences I’ll mention below. Room is exceptionally hot and no way to cool it down without leaving the window open which lets in the noise when the Früh brew house lets out at 2am. Bed is like a box spring very stiff with no padding, and pillows have no substance to them. Maybe they should have more than one pillow to choose from. Construction jack hammer starts at 0700 from the site next door. Nothing they can do about the construction and once construction is done it will no longer be an issue. They did have complimentary coffee and tea in the lobby which was great. Staff were excellent as well.

We loved this hotel. Staff was friendly. We had a great view from our room, the cathedral and Christmas market. We loved that they had free cappuccino/espresso machine in lobby.

This was a great hotel. Came in on the train. It was a short walk away and had a Christmas market directly outside. Very centrally located to many good restaurants and shops. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I will stay here again

The stay was really good apart from the noise from other rooms and outside (i know this is out of your control). The room was really hot and stuffy with no air conditioning. The bed was very hard and felt like it was at an angle when laying on it. The pillow too soft which gave me a sore back and neck. The desk staff were super friendly and helpful.

Nice hotel. Room is a good size, but the fittings and wall coverings are tired and a bit marked, though not dirty. Main issue was noise from 6am from the building site behind the hotel. Also could not get a late check out.

Wonderful views, 4 stars as there was loud construction across the street when we were there. It is not quiet on the Main Street, that is the trade off for the view. Breakfast buffet was immaculate.

Location was perfect, so was the restaurant/brewhouse attached. We were prepared for the construction behind the property, and it was not an issue on the weekend. Every night at 2-3 am the streets outside the hotel got really loud with people walking back from the bars, and since there’s no a/c, the open windows let in all the noise.

Makes me want to go back again and again!!!
Right from walking in we were greeted. The hotel and staff were great. Very clean establishment extremely close to the cathedral. Plus the history of the Früh that you can learn while you are knocking back some beer. Absolutely an amazing time close to everything and in the perfect location in Köln. Thank you for a wonderful time.
