Fantastic stay
It was an amazing stay. Have stayed many times before but not in the last 10 years. Was even better now with live entertainment on both nights. Staff were fabulous. Room was on 6th floor so we had a perfect view of the city

Overall, Dorint hotel is good value for money. Only negative thing for us is that the breakfast at 32 euros is very expensive.

Stayed here on numerous occasions. All of the staff are professional and very welcoming. Transport immediately outside hotel. Cologne city centre within a fifteen minute walk. Great choice for food & drink.

The hotel room has a sewage smell. Been in 3 other Germany hotel this trip and never had that smell. They could not do anything for me since I booked thru orbitz. The ac did not work like it say it was. Was set to 19C. But felt closer to 23c. Room was always warm. The bed was rock solid was not comfortable and the pillows were flat and no support. Not sure how this was rated a 4 star hotel… this was a 2 star. Maybe a low 3 star, trash stay

The Dorint Hotel and my room at Heumarkt is more beautiful in person than I expected. I enjoyed the views of the DOM from the elevator. The hotel is in a safe location and is nearby the DOM and lots of restaurants and activities. Everything about the hotel is excellent. It was a very good visit.

The minimum the AC can go is 19C but the room stays at around 24-25 even if the outside temperature is 28C. At least, they have offered a fan. The room we had was pretty large for a European hotel. Transport to the koelmesse is very easy (2 stops with U1 or U9). You need to pay an extra 5% tax at the end of the stay, even if you are traveling for business.
