Hotel was conveniently located for what we wanted to do. Our only complaint was we had trouble getting sheets for the pullout bed. They should’ve been in the room as we booked for 4 people. We had to argue with the staff at 10 pm to get them.

We booked as a VIP property. There was no benefit to choosing this property as we did not receive any upgrade or late checkout. Our room was too warm.but the temperature could not be adjusted. We kept lowering the temp with no change. The security features of requiring room key for elevators was comforting. The breakfast was nice but we didnt know it ended early on weekdays. We arrived on a Saturday so it was disappointing to miss it today when we got there.

The BEST hotel I have stayed here for the past 6 or 7 years during the holidays. They made updates to the hotel and the lobby is beautiful. Always clean. Staff is always nice and very welcoming. It is walkable to most of the malls, the Drake Hotel across the street, 360° Chicago 2 minute away, 15 minute walk to Navy Pier & Chicago Riverwalk, close to all major vicinities. Great rooms with views. There was a bit of a disturbance on my last night from the guest next door, but that was a first I have experienced that. I would recommend staying here just bring a coat does a get a little nippy in the winter walk wise.

Great location. Nice hotel. My room was the Handicap access but the shower itself needed to be fixed. That being said, I forgot to mention it. Just know that the either came out extremely hot or cold, hard to get a comfortable temp. Also the water pressure was lacking. Other than that, the room was clean and nice. Everything was good, the room ugrade was great. The only thing is that I was told that because i was an expedia VIP the valet was going to be $30 instead of $70, but checking my bank account i notice they did charge me $70 for the valet.

Sonesta December Stay
Very nice property in a very good part of town. Just two blocks from the north end of the Magnificent Mile. Room was large for downtown standards and we had a lake view which was nice. Got upgraded due to my Hotels.com status. Thanks! While it is in a nice area, most of the restaurants walking distance are higher end. I was hoping for some close by regualr old dive bars but none in the area.

Overall, our stay was ok. We had a 2 bedroom suite. It was clean and spacious. The breakfast was disappointing. Not alot of options, no fresh fruit, danishes, cereal, waffles or anything that a typical hotel breakfast would have. They did have eggs, turkey sausage and potatos, that were always empty. English muffins and bagels, but the bagels were also always empty. Both mornings we were there, everything was empty or gone and wasnt refilled unless we asked someone. I feel like someone should be actively refilling things especially on a busy morning.

I loved the friendliness of the staff...the front desk was helpful and the valet workers were excellent...the room was nice and clean(although house keeping needs a little work).Thought i had a room with a view of lake but it was cool we spent a lot of time exploring Chicago anyway..great trip will stay thrre again
