I love this little hotel! The rooms are cozy and well-appointed, and the staff was welcoming and accommodating. I will definitely staff there again in the future. The only reason I didn't rate it higher was the blase attitude of some of the bar staff. I think the customer service there would be better if it was connected to the hotel.

The hotel was in an excellent location. A charming neighborhood walkable to old town and the lake. The room was small, but efficient. A great place to stay if you are exploring different neighborhoods in Chicago.

This is not a fancy hotel. It is a lovely, straightforward mid-range hotel which gracefully provides what the traveler needs. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Really lovely. The room was perfect for our needs. Loved having the fireplace in the room. Enough space for two to stay and even have a quiet day in during a snow day. The location is excellent. Easy public transit right around the corner. Easy walk to food and shopping and the lake. The coffee shop in the hotel was a lovely addition.

It was a nice place with a comfortable bed and two complementary water bottles. Check in was quick and easy. The parking garage is right next-door for $59.

The location is absolutely lovely. Close to everything without being in the thick of it all. The staff was absolutely wonderful from the parking team to housekeeping. Wonderful. The hallways and room leave a little to be desired. The carpet in the room was stained and it was smaller than expected. The shower door opened toward the shower head so you had to get wet to turn on the shower. Would stay again in the summer when I have less packed.

After a four hour drive in non-stop rain from Detroit to Chicago, I was exhausted and relieved to arrive to the Claridge House. When I checked in at the desk, Trevor was so welcoming and kind. My room was clean, comfortable, and cozy. I will definitely stay here again.

We unfortunately had to check out at 11:30pm the same day we checked in due to no sound proofing between rooms. We could hear the neighbor as if they were in the same room as us and they weren’t necessarily being loud. Have never experienced that before in a hotel. It was a room with an interior door to go between rooms, if needed, so that was most likely the issue. We became far too “intimately” familiar with our neighbor that night.
