While relatively old by US standards (not European), it was well maintained and very comfortable. Nice breakfast too.

Convenient to train station and plenty of interesting places within walking distance. Interesting type of hotel , i enjoyed it but may be for everyone.
Very cramped bathroom, toilet squashed in between wash-basin and shower, two rickety beds with wooden head and foot boards rather short for a tall person and uncomfortable.
Very nice hotel full of hunting trophies better than the F1 chain but still basic - no coffee or tea in the bedroom one blanket one pillow lots of noise from the heating I think! Shower water went on the floor so had to mop up with a towel but wasn't expensive and only for one night! breakfast wasn't an exceptional one - continental but ham was the only meat and not a great choice so for 20€ for two people rather expensive for what was on offer! However bed was comfortable so slept reasonably well and I wanted two singles and this was the only hotel on that night that had them so all in all I would use them again but would ask reception for more pillows blankets and towels!

Ive got several OK stays before in this hotel. Advertised free Internet connection is not anymorenough available. Youll have to solvd it yourselves. Don't go there if you really need it for business. No IT person on site to explain why is not working.

Travel for business
Excellent dinning in the hotel restaurant, decently priced. Very friendly and helpful front desk personnel. Recommended for business travelers.
Nice lounge and bar with frendly staff, but the bedroom was quite small and orange - although it was clean, comfortable and the shower worked well. Just a short walk to the town.

VERY CENTRAL WITH EXCELLENT SECURE PARKING
I stayed at the hotel in July 2013, having stayed there several times before. It's no great shakes but it does what it says on the tin. It's very central and within easy walking distance of the centre and several restaurants (the hotel's restaurant itself is pretty fair but not cheap). The rooms are simple but clean, the hot water works, the secure underground parking is excellent. You'd never want to stay here more than 1 night but it's a pretty fair stop-off to/from Calais. VFM is pretty good too.
This was a return visit. I chose this hotel because of previously excelent restaurant and free garage parking.
1. Because the day of my stay (Thursday 1st November) was a holiday, the restaurant was closed and only alternative in the hotel was the pizzeria.
2. On the Expedia site for this hotel, it clearly states "free parking", (which was the case on my last visit) but was charged €6.
3. It would be difficult to immagine how a bathroom could be made any smaller!
