This place genuinely ruined our entire trip. We were already forced to come to Charlotte when some members of the group couldn’t make it anymore due to the hurricane but the renter REFUSED to give any form of refund or even answer the phone when we called many times to explain our situation. We decided to still come, and on the way, we have to text for the check-in code multiple times and even message on vrbo and finallyyy over an hour later, we get a text back with the code. When we get to the address listed on the booking, we notice it’s different than the address that was texted to us earlier that day. I go “which address is right? they aren’t the same” and the renter responds with “we decided to move you to our other place 5 min away because this one has a leak” (okay, why wasn’t this communicated?????!!!!), but we drive to the new place which is actually 10 min away (this would’ve been very inconvenient if our concert plans were still happening because we chose the other one for how close to the venue it was) but anyways, we get to the new place and it’s SMALLER and does NOT sleep 6 people. It had only 2 beds and a tiny couch when the other place had a couch 3x as big. I get a text from the renter later on reading “hope you’re comfortable, there is an air mattress in the hall closet”…. We didn’t pay to sleep on an air mattress. I will 100% be reporting this because we were not told upfront that we would be in a different location. Our group ended up finding another place to stay in for the next 2 nights and just lost our money on this one, but at least we know now not to rent from these people again.
