After AA.Com delayed our connection flight to Bermuda almost 12 hours, l needed a hotel to get 5 hours to rest/sleep. I didn't want to sleep 6 hours in the Airport and the hotel AA had compensated passengers, was oversold. So I had my wife search to find a hotel with shuttle, that wasn't sold out. Almost 400 flights were either canceled/delayed on that day/evening.
Radisson had rooms, but unfortunately only 1shuttle was operating and after 35 minutes of waiting, there wasn't enough room for all passengers.
I decided to get a taxi to the hotel. Luckily the check in was quick but all snacks, bottles of water, were sold out. Luckily I had keto snack with me, and got some ice, and a cup of water from the lobby.
There are no vending machines on 3 floor. No restaurant on site, and be prepared to bring your own food, incase major flights are canceled/delayed late evening at CLT.
The good thing was the room was big, quiet, and bed comfortable. I got a much needed rest, after a horror travel experience with AA.
