This luxury historic 1,650 square foot townhome features three floors, two bedrooms, three bathrooms, and sleeps up to seven people. Super-luxe, providing the ultimate in furnishings, art and high-end finishes. Great for groups and families with children, and the two ensuite-bathrooms provide privacy for couples traveling together.

Located on Queens Road, one of the prettiest tree-lined avenues in the entire city, in the prestigious neighborhood of Myers Park. Designed and created by famous landscape architect John Nolen in 1911, Myers Park's curving avenues, gracious homes and small parks come together to create one of the Southeast’s most livable neighborhoods – all only one mile from Uptown.

We've maintained the character of the original historic 1920's Blumenthal Mansion, while completely updating and renovating the interior – large, double-hung arched windows with wooden plantation shutters, 10’ ceilings, and solid hardwood floors throughout, honor the history of this property, while stainless steel kitchen appliances and quartz countertops, large capacity LG washing machine and clothes dryer, brand new heating and cooling systems, and gas fireplace provide modern amenities.

The ground level features a desirable open floorplan, consisting of entryway that opens up to the designer living room, complete with custom built-ins, big-screen television, plenty of seating, and a remote-operated gas fireplace for winter nights. A side door off of the living room leads out to a small enclosed patio with seating and a gas grill for barbecuing. A grand archway transitions from the living room into the dining room / kitchen area, where you’ll find a dining table which seats six people (or either people with available leaf insert), a designer sideboard, fig trees, bar-cart stocked with complimentary beverages, and fully equipped kitchen.

A wraparound staircase in the foyer leads up to the second floor landing, which takes you down the hallway to the master queen suite (you’ll find the washer and dryer in the laundry nook located off of the hallway). The bedroom is equipped with smart tv, plantation shutters, blackout curtains, brand-new Casper mattress, and 400 thread-count linens to ensure a comfortable night's rest. The bedroom looks out over the sprawling front lawn, Queens Road, and has a seasonal skyline view of uptown in the winter. It connects to the adjoining hallway where you’ll find the master bath and two 60-inch wide hanging closets, allowing plenty of room for clothing storage and luggage. What the master bath may lack in size, it makes up for in luxury style! Fully renovated in August of 2021, it is outfitted with single vanity, floor-to-ceiling Calacatta marble, mirrored vanity wall, curbless walk-in shower with frameless glass shower door, rain showerhead, brushed brass fixtures, and luxury bath linens.

The spiral staircase on the second floor landing leads up to the third floor, where you’ll find the charming second bedroom with vaulted ceilings and dormer windows. This level features two double beds, and an additional twin trundle bed, all with brand-new beds and memory foam mattresses. The third floor has its own (also newly-renovated) ensuite bathroom, complete with double vanity, floor-to-ceiling glass tile, classic chrome fixtures, combination tub/shower, and rain shower-head.

Host No Show
I received no information in advance from the host about access. On the day of the rental, repeated attempts via text and phone went unanswered. Several chats and phone conversations with VRBO support were unsatisfactory. Their attempts to reach the host were also unanswered and I was told it had been "escalated to the proper department" and that they would be in touch to discuss alternate accomomdations. My request for a refund was answered with "the host will have to approve the refund"! I never heard from anyone at VRBO and had to book a hotel. Overall, about as unsatisfactory as it gets. Still waiting on my refund!
