I think it needs more attention on the maintenance of the rooms. There is one area in ceramic tiles and carpet transition that has a protruding sharp needle like wire that I accidentally stepped on when I was walking barefooted. And the swivelling office chair’s arm is missing a bolt that could accidentally detach and the persons sitting could flip over. If no one has seen this or experienced this, would probably not report it, but i will let the reception people know when I check out tomorrow.

We found ourselves with a 16 hour layover in Calgary without access to our luggage. This hotel was a last minute choice, and turned out to be a great one. Hotel is very close to the airport. Airport shuttle was clean and on time. Driver was friendly, helpful and drove safely. We were welcomed and provided with all the necessary items for an overnight stay. Even got upgraded rooms! Really great Indian buffet on the Friday night we stayed there. All around a very good experience.

When we arrived and parked, the pathway leading to the main entrance had some paving stones and some areas with gravel, so this was inconvenient with wheeled suitcases. When we checked in we weren’t told anything about the facilities or amenities, just given our keys and told what floor we were on. When I went to use the Peloton in the fitness facility that I found on my own, it was out of service. After asking front desk staff, they advised that management had been told and that it *should* be fixed the next day. This was disappointing as it was one of the reasons I booked this hotel. Upon arriving in the room, it was noticed that we received a double bed when we had booked a queen. Noisy next door neighbours shouting at each other made it difficult to sleep. Room was mostly clean but showed its age.
