Great location. Easy walking to beach, shops, night market and casino. Older unit but had everything we needed. Lovely helpful staff. Down side only 6 car parks. If you miss out on a car park you have to park out side on the street. I would definetly stay here again.

It's clean and has the necessities. Nothing fancy, but we don't need fancy. The manager was polite and helpful. We came after hours and had no problem getting our key from the lock box. A nice simple place to stay.

The single bed did not have a top sheet. The double bed only had a sheet with no other cover. The bathroom door did not fit the door frame. The door was too small which lefr a gap around the frame which allowed the shower curtain to blow around when in the shower.

The rooms need a lot of repairs. Mouldy grout in the shower. No information on the room. Staff not in the office to greet us. Fridge was great and there was tea, coffee and equipment available.

The unit was dirty, we had to ask for a change of towels after our second night. The sheets sufficed for 3 nights and there was no dining area. This ultimately suited us as we were out for the whole three nights.

The Cairns City Motel is a good place to stay, it is clean, centrally located and not expensive. It is close to the Aquarium, Markets and Waterfront Precinct. The only downside is that the reception area is only staffed for limited hours and only has 6 off-street parking spaces. I will definitely stay there again.
