The room could use updating. The ceiling needs to be repainted, the air conditioner was leaking, I paid for a king bed but got a queen with a twin, there was no robe or slippers as stated on the website, when I called housekeeping they said it was by request so I requested and it never came. A few hours later I called again to request. Breakfast buffet was not good. When I asked for fried eggs the chef told me she could warm the ones that had been sitting there….um no thanks!

We stayed 2 nights and was our 2nd time at this property. Large and clean rooms, amazing staff and perfect location. We never used the pools because the world’s nicest beach is convenient with hotel loungers available during the day. Great breakfast with lots of options. Nice gym which was well appointed.

I was surprised to find the market next to the hotel. Good tattoo place near by. I'm vegetarian and the food at the hotel was so great and has multiple veg options (without meat or fish sauce).

Overall value is good, room prices are fair On the plus side, the facilities are excellent - meeting international level resort, seldom seen elsewhere in Philippines. Full points for quality of construction, cleanliness, maintenance, pool water sparkling, rooms and hallways are spotless. Staff are all very well trained and courteous and efficient. The room felt spacious, and amenities are well covered. (Time to move on from tiny plastic bottles) Downside, the buffet breakfast was med to low quality: a fair selection but many dishes are cold, the pastries not very fresh, the food bland The other issue we experienced is the staff have to enforce some unnecessary and "silly" rules, that are not customer service oriented e.g. The bus departs at 6am but breakfast opens at 6am. Bus could easily depart at 6:15, or a limited breakfast be served earlier. Check in staff helpfully advised the solution - just go 10 minutes early and grab a few items, which we did. However the restaurant manager literally told us we could not eat a bowl of cereal and a pastry we had already taken, bc they didn't open for another 10 minutes! Likewise, the welcome drink from the lobby coffee bar has to be drunk in the lobby, not by the pool, but any other drink purchased there can be taken out!....why? Sometime the really small things can leave a disproportionate impression on the overall stay. Something Mr Chusuey knows well.

The worst part of the property was the road to the front entrance. They should definitely pave it. Not a pleasant first impression. The second worst thing, the restaurant. It was bad. Even though it's the same as where the breakfast and dining buffets are, the "restaurant" is where you order from a menu. The breakfast buffet was pretty great. The room was really nice too. Ours was on the ground floor with direct pool access. 10/10, highly recommend. However, the WiFi, was pretty bad. If you can, get a room on the "beach side" of the hotel as it's warm. We tried the pool on the "city side," and it was really cold. Plus the swim up bar is on the beach side. Beach access was very close and offered incredible views. But as with all of the beach walk there, you have to deal with all of the hustling trying to sell you activities, literally every 2 feet. It's so annoying. The beach walk offered a lot of shops and amenities, I can't tell you how many times we walked it. We definitely got our steps in.

The airport transfer service is exemplary and well worth the additional cost. The staff is friendly and property is clean and efficiently run. The breakfast buffet offers many choices for all cultures.

Local Vendors infront of the Hotel
The only downside is the standby vendors in front of the hotels, they keep on offering tours while guests are eating in the beachfront restaurant, seeing those foreigners irritable and the one besides us complaining. I hope Henan management will do something about this. I know and understand that they are just making a living instead of doing something not nice (robbery/scam) not questioning the deeds but the way they are doing it. You are in Boracay to relax while they are causing stress, actually.
