We were in Bethesda for a few days and wanted to be close to the NIH. This hotel is beautifully decorated, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the bar and restaurant were excellent. Will definitely be back.

It was great the staff was friendly. The only issue is the elevator took forever. And you can’t take outside food to the pool area and that sucks because we had snacks and wanted to just enjoy some fresh air with our food.

The staff is very friendly and attentive to the needs of the guests. The place is very nice, with swimming pool, bar and restaurant. Very good location with a subway station approximately a 10min walk away. Highly recommended

The room and common area were very nice and clean. However, the AC made a weird noise, and the alarm clock went off at 6:00AM. I should have unplugged it, but was using the USB, so I tried adjusting it which didn't work, it went off at the same time my second morning too. Half the numbers on the display were missing, so it was impossible to program it correctly. Beware the alarm clock and do yourself a favor and just uplug it as soon as you get there. I did manage to get a free breakfast the first morning after complaining about the alarm clock. We had to ask for extra towels, and I wish they had provided extra pillows but I forgot to ask. I would expect a big suite like that, that accomodates up to 4-5 people, to have more than 3 towels in the room.

I am always happy with this hotel. This has to be one of the best hotels in Bethesda. From the time you walk in to the time you leave, everyone is nice, friendly and service is amazing. The pool on the roof and the view, is spectacular. The rooms are absolutely beautiful. They are so spacious and clean. Anytime I can get the good price on staying at this hotel, I do.

The people at The Bethesdan really seem to be doing everything they can to make it a going concern. Several groups used their meeting rooms on the lower floors while we were there, from a graduation to a group of handicapped people to church services. They even have some kind of promotional display for a better kind of water (fizzy and regular; free at the front counter). The breakfast buffet was a bit pricey for us at $19.99 per person, but we ate at the restaurant more than once and the service and food was good. The number one limitation was the elevators. Either their service elevator is out of service (judging by its entrance at the back of the building) or the elevators are just over worked. We had to walk up from the lowest parking level the night we were arrived, apparently because large containers of linens were being moved, and found ourselves waiting on a number of occasions. Or could it be the software? Elevators often zipped past our floor, apparently prioritizing someone who pressed a button before us. Hard to say. So if you're very impatient, maybe this won't be the hotel for you... otherwise it's quite nice and I even used the rooftop pool once :)

Very elegant hotel. Good beds, block out curtains, good counter space, lots of plugs for recharging. Very clean. Old Bethesda is walking distance, Metro station also walkable. Breakfast buffet is decent value at 20$. Parking is kind of funky. It’s expensive, and they tell you you can use the room key to get in and out, but I never got it to work. I asked the desk to explain about 3 times, and still couldn’t get it to work. About 15 minutes by car to NW Washington.

Got a good deal last minute. Parking garages a bit cramped & inconvenient. Elevators move extremely slow. No luggage carts by garage areas. Worse of all- B L O O D and bodily fluids on every bed and pillow. Took pictures and video. Was assigned second room. Even bloodier pillows. Asked for a refund & left. Manager was understanding & accommodating. But what a repulsive, unsanitary & traumatic experience. Would pick any motel off the interstate, guaranteed still more sanitary conditions.

The only thing I didn't like about the property was the hotel parking. We had to drive around the parking garage of the hotel to find parking and we couldn't find any space for our vehicle. All spaces were occupied and we had to find our own parking in a different garage in the middle of the night. Which was an inconvenience. Also the elevator situation could be improved as well. You wait for a longtime to get in an elevator to go to your room.
