This is a basic room. A little small. But it was clean, warm and just what I needed for short stay in the city. Well situated. Very friendly staff. Just what you need.
The property is very well located. However, it had absolutely NO kitchen equipment. I had to ask at the front desk and was very grudgingly given a small plate and knife. There was nothing to wash up with in the room. It is not a studio - you could live in a studio! The shower is in the same space as the toilet - wet room toilet - and the sink is too small to wash anything other than your hands, you couldn't shave at the sink
Great location. Clean. Very, very small...even smaller than the photos make it seem. Thankfully we only had 1 suitcase as there was no room for a second suitcase.
The room was very cosy and comfortable. Clean and with acceptable facilities for the price. The only negative was the noise - which is out of the hotel's control tbh - outside. It sounded like some kids were trapped in a car in the carpark the first night, and then some dude was singing at the top of his lungs for hours outside somewhere the next! Otherwise a very pleasant comfortable stay.
If you are a backpacker, you will find this hotel luxurious. I stopped backpacking 30 years ago. So this hotel is poor and one night is enough. Neither the air conditioning nor the tv work (check the remote batteries) The bathroom/toilet is one small cubical.
Our room was absolutely disgusting it smelt of urine so bad. If we had another option to stay at we would have, glad it was only for one night. The smell of the room smelt like someone had peed all in the carpet, it was terrible!
You overpay what you get for this accommodation. It’s a basic bed with a terrible bathroom with hardly no facilities in the room. The cleanliness was really bad. The only reason to stay here is if there are no alternatives. The location is good - near Britomart and within walking distance to the shops and water front. You can’t stand out on the balcony. There was also some sort of loose advertisement sign on the outside of the building that flapped against the wall all day and night.
