Def worth the price and location

Really affordable, right in the middle of downtown so we got to walk around everywhere without worrying we’re too far from the hotel. Only complaint is noise. You are right off a somewhat busy downtown road, which is fine but some cars are particularly very loud. Random noises throughout the night in 2 out of 3 days of staying. Could be situational, since we went during the No Kings/Fathers day weekend. For the price and convenience of location, definitely worth it, even with the noises.

Very close to everything (walking distance) but you could hear all the traffic that passes by your room all night! The walls are thin and can hear every argument your neighbor has with their spouse. Other than that very convenient to everything!

Good value for the price, nothing special, but it got the job done. The check-in process was a bit odd, and I felt as though I was kinda being interrogated. ("How did you get here?" when I told the attendant I did not have a car.) Room was clean. Walls are thin so you can hear your neighbors and the cleaning crews, but truly did not interfere with my stay. The location was EVERYTHING. I was so close to downtown and the walkability from the hotel was key. I would likely stay at this location again if I came back to Asheville.

The room was small but clean and comfortable. It’s an older hotel and opens to the outside. The parking lot it really tight so don’t park in the back area! Very close to downtown and makes it very walkable. The breakfast is pretty lame though. It’s a good choice.

Hotel is old and a little dingy but they are making effort to keep it up. Lots of street noise on the side of our room but hotel does not control that. It is just something to be aware of if you are a light sleeper. On site parking is very limited. Breakfast was okay. Not a fan of an open jug of milk and juices for community sharing. No fruit. Room was older decor and a little run down but was basically clean. I would stay here again, definitely worth the savings. But if you are picky or are looking for luxury or modern, probably not the place to stay for you.

Cherish was amazing, all the staff were. Felt very welcomed. You can tell they've done some rennovations and the building is nice, didnt feel run down or unsafe. Not a 5 star hotel but you have to be reasonable for what youre paying. Affordable and in a great spot in the downtown area. Enjoyed my stay and would definitely use it again if staying in the area

The Downtown Inn and Suites has a great location for exploring Asheville—conveniently situated within walking distance of downtown shops and restaurants. The room itself was clean and functional, offering a simple place to rest after a day out. However, the breakfast was very basic, with limited options and not quite what we expected. If you’re looking for a more complete breakfast experience, you might want to plan on eating elsewhere. Overall, it’s a decent budget-friendly option if location is your top priority, but amenities like breakfast may fall short for some travelers.

I appreciate the kindness at the front reception desk. I did not have a car and they allowed me to stay… I didn’t know you couldn’t stay without a vehicle. I used to live here, it’s been very upgraded, this hotel. I enjoyed my stay and will return.

not worth it

The place is very run down, with cracks and water damage in the walls and ceiling. Parking is a nightmare, and my car was damaged in the hotel parking lot. There is no insulation from the street noise outside, which is constant, so I got very little rest the whole time I was there. I will never stay at this hotel again.
