Above all, room is very good
Ana is amazing at the front desk. The property is visibly old and run down. Elevator is like a bumpy amusement park ride. Room is very comfortable, remodeled, and clean.

Perfect location. Booked because of the free parking (in a mostly enclosed area, which was nice. Entry is on the east side off Ashland ave.) and the nice centrality for hitting a bunch of good food and breweries. The room was clean, bed was just okay. We've had worse, but it wasn't very comfortable. They also don't use fitted sheets, it was a flat sheet that wasn't large enough to properly cover the king bed. Through the night it would always end up bunched up and I didn't like losing that barrier from the mattress and constantly having to re-tuck it. But if we come back to Asheville this is probably where we'd stay again.

There is no ventilation in the toilet, which is a must. The parking lot is insufficient compared to the number of rooms. Instead of asking for ID, the evening attendant would have been much more professional if he had asked for the room number and the names of the people staying in the room. It was completely uncalled for for him to ask for ID in front of my wife. The responsibility of carrying ID while going from room to car is absolutely stupid.

Keep your curtains closed
Room was fine, staff were nice. Bed pretty comfortable and shower pressure 10/10. But I was given a room that looked straight out onto the street. And it was an intersection where the crosswalks ding for the sight impaired. A lot. Like, a lot. But I just needed a place to sleep, so it was fine.

Breakfast is waffles, cereal options, bagels, jimmy dean sandwiches, yogurt, and apples. Juice and coffee. Not bad for an advertisedco continental. Great location to downtonw. Old clean hotel. Nothing fancy.
