Check in was 5 star. My arrival was planned for and room and keys allocated prior to arrival. Gentleman at check was superb. Breakfast was missing a lot of items but given my overnight cost caused me no concerns.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. (Shout out to Sunshine and Alexis) Breakfast was good, we had the sausage patties and hash browns with oranges. The Pool had steps going down into it which was great for the little one to sit on and practice kicking the water.

This hotel is a bargain for the area - clean, well-appointed rooms, comfortable beds, and nice staff at a very reasonable price. There is a lot of care in details, like an all-night beverage bar in the lobby and extra towels in the bathrooms. I’ve stayed here twice and will definitely do so again.

The property was very basic with the room numbers handwritten on labels and very old doors. The room and bathroom were super tiny. This is somewhere you stay for a night and leave!!

Not as good as last visit
Last time I stayed here I was solo and really impressed with the value for dollar and the super friendly staff especially the front desk clerk. This time I was with my wife and I had told her how great everything was compared to the other Ann Arbor hotels we have stayed in. Check in was fast and easy and we were greeted with the same friendly welcome as my last stay. They had coffee, water and cookies out plus a welcome bag with snacks and water. When we got to the room it was a far cry from the room I had on my last visit. It wasn't dirty but it seemed run down. It was also smaller with very little area for luggage or places to hang clothes. There was also only one trash can and no recycling can for the whole room which is odd. They offered a free breakfast but it seemed to be missing some stuff. Sunday morning there was a steam tray with bacon and potatos but no eggs. Sunday night there were very few other guests so on Monday morning the hotel was pretty empty and they didn't put out any breakfast at all, they had to-go bags with a juice box and granola bars. Overall not bad but a let down since my last visit.
