Modern private cabin at Boulder Creek Ranch

With our cabin, you are our only guest on our small working ranch in the beautiful Blue Mountains of Oregon. Relax with our personal library. Sit on the porch and watch the ranch work. Gaze at brilliant night skies. And dip your feet in Big Boulder Creek, which runs for a mile through the ranch. And there's nothing quite as delightful as watching children get acquainted with our goats, horses, donkeys, chickens, and dogs. And when everyone's tuckered out, retreat to your private, cozy cabin and sleep like you haven't slept in a long time. In the morning, cook yourself a wonderful breakfast with fixings that we stock to get your day started right.
During your stay at this cabin, you're just a quick walk from Malheur National Forest. The cabin offers a kitchen and a patio.

A relaxing getaway on a ranch
We had a wonderful stay. The property was in a beautiful location and very quiet. The cabin was clean, very comfortable, and well stocked, including fresh eggs, bread, milk, orange juice and yogurts for breakfast. The bed was very comfortable. The front porch was a peaceful place to relax and watch the goats, donkeys and chickens. The back deck had a good gas grill and an umbrella covered table to enjoy a meal. Thank you Les and Scotta!

Gorgeous getaway!
I scheduled a short getaway for our 50th anniversay, and it was even better than I anticipated! No cell service, no WiFi, no cable/satellite, no crowds, and no traffic made for a great time. The icing on the cake is the setting and the panoramic views of the mountains. The hosts were very friendly and welcoming as well as a good source of information for visiting local attractions. The kitchen and bathroom were generously stocked. The ranch animals topped the whole thing off! Highly recommend!

A True Ranch Retreat!
We loved staying at this amazing property! If you are looking to truly get away from it all, this is the place. Dark skies at night (finally I could see some stars!), quiet, serene. The experience of having all the sweet animals around is a huge bonus. My son loved petting the goats and I had fun with the donkeys, who were there to greet us when we arrived at the cabin. The drive in to this location is a treat in and of itself. This area of Oregon is magical! Les and Scotta are responsive, wonderful hosts. You feel like you are visiting family. The cabin is well stocked and as described. I loved getting lost in their excellent library collection and my 6 year old loved playing with the lincoln logs. A relaxing time!

Home on the Range
Les and Scotta have a great working ranch nestled in the mountains of Eastern Oregon. We traveled with friends and explored the area the next day. It was fun to come home to all of the critters and the beautiful setting.

We stayed here for one night. Unplanned. No issues getting a room. The front desk was efficient and friendly. Very helpful. Parking was not an issue and a grocery/ gas staion was within walking distance for snacks. There was no road noise and we managed to fall asleep really well. The room was clean and had the most comfortable beds and pillows ever. The complimentary full breakfast was amazing too. Definitely a wonderful stay and a property we'll keep on our list for future.

Remote ..... and worth it!
Les and Scotta could not have been kinder hosts! Their property is gorgeous and so quiet. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the local wildlife … and of course their many farm animals. Our guest cabin was totally stocked with yummy breakfast fixins which helped tremendously. The cabin was spacious, clean, and modernized inside. Visiting dogs would love a fenced dog run on the property; it's the only reason we didn't give a 5-star overall rating. We hope to return for some more decompression in the future!

Wonderful weekend at Boulder Creek!
I highly recommend staying at the Boulder Creek cabin. It is such a beautiful property, with kind and helpful hosts, and a very peaceful experience. Les and Scotta accommodated our larger group, and introduced all of our children to the animals on the property. It was a great getaway in an absolutely beautiful setting on the Middle Fork of the John Day River! We will come again.

Great spot!
This spot was amazing, and we had a great weekend there. Hosts were very kind & hospitable. We couldn't hear or see any other cars or homes from the cabin / farmyard, felt like we were in our own little world. Would happily stay here again in the future, and highly recommend to anyone!

A Peaceful and Restorative Retreat
The rustic looking cabin was well-appointed with all of the creature comforts guests would need to enjoy their stay, amidst the pastoral surroundings of an active ranch in the heart of the North Fork John Day Wilderness. I would highly recommend the cabin rental to others. The cabin hosts were knowledgeable, courteous and very responsive to questions and any requests.

Boulder Creek Cabin
This was my second stay at Boulder Creek, and this time was just as absolutely enjoyable as the first! Les and Scotta are most gracious, and have provided a cabin with just about all the amenities and comfort one would need. The friendly donkeys and goats are delightful! It was such a pleasure to walk out the door at night and look up into a sky full of stars, something you’d never see in the city! I hope to return there some day.
