Wonderful 2 weeks
Just returned from a 2 week stay - 4 adults and a 15 and 11 year old. We stayed at the larger villa opposite last year but wanted to return to the area as a smaller party so chose this villa. The area is just perfect. Quiet and relaxing but close enough to busier places. We stayed for 2 weeks with no car. You can Uber to anywhere. We ventured to Albufeira, the marina (highly recommend), Armação de Para, Gale etc and had no trouble getting a 7 seater Uber. Aldi is a 10 mins walk away (just Uber back with larger shopping amounts). You can get the big red open top bus from down by the Salgados hotel which is good to explore the local area and goes all the way to Villamoura. Dolphin and caves boat trip is also a great trip (booked online with Seacre).
The villa has everything you need. Be aware that there is nothing on your arrival - no water, basics such as as oil, condiments, dishwasher tablets etc so you do need to do a supermarket run as you arrive. The only thing I would say is to echo what others have said about the pool. There are tiles missing from the bottom (I caught my feet a couple of times) so it is in need of some repair but this wouldn’t stop me booking the villa again. There are only 5 loungers but there were 6 of us and the umbrellas definitely need replacing. There also aren’t enough of them. By 2pm there is little shade and it was very hot. When the pool water went a funny colour, the pool guy came the next day after I reported it.
