Nice rooms but issues with reservations

Pros: Clean rooms.
Cons: Communication with third party booking services.
Location: Al Wadha mall.
I booked this hotel some six weeks in advance only to find on arrival the hotel did not have my booking. I understand that using Ebookers might cause some communication difficulties but six weeks should be enough time to resolve this. The last thing a guest wants is to arrive at midnight to to be told I must send additional emails to verify my booking. After doing that, I was placed in one of the last rooms near the lift. When I complained about the noise I was told I could have a twin or a smoking room. Neither of these were acceptable, so they agreed to upgrade my room. I do not know why there is no mini bar any more, certain changes seem to render the hotel of a lower quality. It was better when I stayed a year ago.

Family

The hotel is brilliant, me and my brother just got back yersterday. I cant fault anyything. Best hotel i have been the staff are so pleasant and nice unblievable. I still know there names. I would recomend this hotel to everyone. Plus everything local.

Worst 5 star experience ever

It took 2 and a half hours to actually get into the rooms. First of all the check-in process was over one hour and then the rooms were not next to each other and one had stale urine stains on the toilet, which a manager described as "just a few spots". The Friday brunch had excellent quality food but was advertised on our deal as a value of 400Dhs but inside the hotel was valued at 169Dhs - we were cheated in buying a deal. On check-out the staff never asked about the stay and the luggage man threw the cases as he liked - luckily the breakable things were in a handbag and not the case. This is not the service or care that I would expect from a 5 star hotel.

Fabulous hotel

Exceptional value for a luxurious hotel-staff(except 1swimming pool attendant who was grumpy and not helpful) were very courteous and helpful!
